Owner was very friendly and so easy to talk to. My Husband stayed while working in the area and had nothing but good things to say. I joined him for a few days during a snow storm. We needed a ladder to remove snow from our pull outs and the owner was really helpful and just an all around kind person.
*Sigh* We read a couple reviews that this place had a couple horse stalls. We were passing through and needed to stop overnight. Although this place isn't "technically" an equestrian place, you gotta know that horse folks will stop in because you do have stalls. The stalls were overgrown with sticker bushes, which were getting caught in our horses' tails. At least whack those puppies down frequently so the stalls are decent. We took our 2 dogs to the little dog park to play behind the horse stalls ....the weeds were SO high, we couldn't even see the ground; at least 2-3 feet high. If it were just grass, we'd been able to deal with it. Those sticker bushes are a beast. Actually, the entire property is overgrown, which is a shame, because they have awesome amenities and there's so much potential. It's just been neglected. We paid $50 for 2 stalls and $72 to park in a pull through for 1 night. We didn't need a hookup for water or electricity, just a space. Had to pay the full price as if we did. That sucked, but we were thankful we had a place to stop. Ya can't win 'em all. Lol
Phenomenal campground! Everything is clean and well maintained. Rick was incredibly helpful and made us feel welcomed immediately. Grass is kept short to help watch for snakes. Everything is smooth, spots are level and easy to access. The park is laid out with campers in mind. We were supposed to stay for at least a month but had to leave early because of work. Rick was easy to work with and communicate with about the change in plans. Will definitely stay here whenever we are in the area.
We stayed here with Rick for 3 months in our Travel Trailer, Rick was very accommodating and helpful during the whole stay. He was always prompt with filling our propane, making sure we got our mail and keeping things tidy around the park. If he isn’t in the office he’s more than likely working on something new around the park or just keeping it maintained. He also has a large storage area in the back, laundry, restrooms, a few airbnbs on site, a playground and a horse hotel! great views and no complaints.
We stayed there 2x in May. Toilet, shower, sink had a sign saying “OUT OF ORDER DATED APRIL 14,2024” . No one was ever in the office. The space we had reserved was taken so a call to the owner told us to park anywhere in A row. Seems to be a community for construction workers. Not a welcoming or friendly atmosphere
