Stayed here a night before the holidays. Great location! It's in the Yosemite Valley so everything is really close to where this camp/lodging is. However, we did have some problems during our stay. The main one was that the heater was not working. The temperature at night was around the low 20s so it was pretty cold! They did give us a space heater right away but that was not working at all unless you're 1 foot away from it. Luckily we brought extra layers and blankets so that helped us out. They do have some blankets in the tents but they look like they haven't been washed up for a while so we chose not to use them. The bathrooms and shower rooms are common and they're pretty decent actually. The heater in the bathrooms also don't work as well so even though the water was a little warm, it still felt pretty cold while taking a shower. There's a guest wifi lounge, restaurant, bar, and an ice rink in the camp! Price is also cheaper compared to the other lodging in the Valley. It's not a perfect lodging but you're basically paying for a covered place to sleep in and bathrooms. Other than that, this place is in a great location!
Stayed at the heated yurts, and dined at the seven tents hospitality. Some of the heaters don't work very well, if you get unlucky, you better come prepared for the cold. The food options are disappointing, and taste less. The bar is excellent and has the best food options. All the people that work here are strangely devoid of happiness and some are just rude. I'd imagine living in the Yosemite valley would be a delight, and the people over at Degnan's Deli seemed way happier. Just strange.
I was nervous about staying here because of some of the reviews, but was glad to find that our cabin was clean, the linens were fresh, the heater worked perfectly, and location was amazing. It's definitely packed tightly and not glamorous, but we loved that we didn't need to pack our camping gear and we didn't have to drive after we arrived. We rented bikes at curry village and rode through the whole valley and ate most of our meals at the dining hall. It was really convenient.
We got so lucky this summer and booked two weeks before our trip date. If you’re looking to go to Yosemite and not pitch a tent this is a place you should go to. They have full showers, bathrooms, restaurants, bars, pizza, place, and markets for you to buy within the convenience of stay here. You have beautiful views of half dome and the trail to go to mist Trail Falls is a 10 minute walk. You can also rent bikes here but show up exactly at 8 AM to grab a bike or else they run out at 9 AM. Overall, we loved our stay here and we can’t wait to come back to Yosemite.
If you like the idea of staying in an upscale refugee camp, a Curry Village tent is the place for you. Cramped, dirty, no amenities. Shower and bath facilities may be far from your tent - they were for us. Showers are dirty - some stalls are missing curtains and the curtains that are in place are dirty and mildewed. Food service is limited and not able to handle demand - at least not where people want to eat - the bar and the pizza option. The tent itself? Ours was a long way from parking and required getting your luggage across dusty dirty paths. So much of the park is asphalt trails, so why didn't they do that here? The "bed" in the tent is a glorified cot, and that was the only thing in the tent - no chair, no bench, a couple hooks and very small shelves, so your stuff has to go on the dirty floor. Tents are 2-3 feet apart, so you can't open side flaps for air without someone being able to peer in. This is NOT like camping in a nice environment. We fled after one night.
