4 of us stayed in Cabin 5 while on a hunting trip. They were very friendly and accommodating for hunters, who don't know if they'll be there 2 days or 5. We were very happy with this place and would highly recommend it. The cabin was just what we needed and was very clean and well kept. The only thing we would change was on our part: since we are up and leaving the cabin super early, we would choose a cabin that was separate from the others (this one has a shared wall with cabin 4), so that we wouldn't need to be so careful about disturbing our neighbors. Two of us also stayed in one of the sleeper cabins (beds only) the month before. The shower house was very clean, and the tenter's kitchen had what we needed for our stay. This place is a gem in the Black Hills, and we will be back!
Stayed here a couple nights while visiting the area. Campground is very well maintained. Stayed in a camper cabin, was beyond pleased with it. The bathhouse has clearly been updated and is meticulously maintained. There’s a camper kitchen available so you can do dishes and whatnot if you are in a tent or cabin. Folks staying at the campground are friendly and kind. The gentleman who owns it is helpful with suggestions on things in the area. Will definitely stay here again. Very happy!
We loved this campground!! Super friendly owners and camp hosts. Generous sized sites, clean bathrooms, hot water in the shower house and solid wi-fi. Perfect location from which to explore the Black Hills! Super pet friendly as well.
Normally we would boondock in this area but it was 90+ degrees overnight so we opted for a centrally located campground with electrical hookups for AC. It was adequate for an overnight stay, but don't expect much more. Paid $48 for a partial hookup site which is pretty spendy, but still cheaper than everything else around. Site #4 was located in a dirt loop in the back of the campground that requires a pretty steep (but short) hill and a sharp corner. We did just fine with a 26ft trailer, but anything much bigger and you might not fit. The loop has a shared water spigot in the middle by the trees. We had a 50ft hose that barely reached our site to fill our fresh tank then disconnect from the spigot. It's also a shared water source for the nearby dry cabins. Sites back here are packed dirt and relatively level. Had to use a couple stacked blocks to level. Dump station is unfortunately located on the narrow road out of the back part of the campground. We pulled all the way to the side but it's tight for anyone to pass. Pretty quiet except for the couple times squirrels or other critters crawled into our engine and set off the car alarm.
So like a dope, I booked for July 2025 by accident and not 2024. I show up with 4 friends ready to check in the large cabin and uhhh they don't see my name. We see my error and the owners hopped on it and actually called an incoming guest and told them they had a smaller cheaper cabin available if they wanted to change their reservation. The other guest said sure and the owners got us a cabin to fit 4. Completely awesome people who have it together enough to problem solve on the fly. The facility is fantastic and the cabin was just great. Location is A+ also. Support this business
