What a neat NP. Definitely lots to do with hiking, biking, etc. The park itself is sprawled out throughout town which makes it unique. We were able to do several hikes with our 4 year old without issues. We enjoyed the blue hens falls and brandywine fall trails. Plenty of places to park and several visitor centers to visit.
Very picturesque park between Cleveland and Akron. Came here for the 20 mile scenic drive. Wonderful. The Erie canal path, the small towns, the river valley and the stories were a great bonus. We will be back to explore more.
Cuyahoga Valley National Park is a great park to visit. While not on par with some of the more majestic National Parks, it is still definitely worth visiting if you are in the area. The variety of history and natural beauty to see is quite cool. The park includes waterfalls, hiking trails, marshes, scenic roads, gorges and beautiful fall scenery. I would not go out of your way to visit but if you happen to be in the area it's absolutely worth stopping by. You could get lost in this NP for a long time. Definitely a lot to see!
This is a long National Park, so be prepared to walk along trails and drive. We were surprised by how well done the visitors' center was. Depending upon how much hiking and walking you want to do will make the trip longer or shorter, but overall an easy park to see in a day.
Ledges trail is my favorite trail here. I’ve hiked here twice now and hiked quite a few of the trails. The water flow of the waterfalls during the springtime was much greater than in the fall, due to rainfall. Still beautiful each time.
