The sites are strategically designed with at least 30 feet of woods separating each, providing ample privacy and a sense of being truly "up north." The surrounding area is characterized by regenerated vegetation and crystal-clear lakes, formed from former mine pits, which now serve as vibrant aquatic ecosystems. The overall ambiance is one of natural beauty, with opportunities for stargazing under dark, clear skies, offering a truly immersive outdoor experience.

The emphasis on privacy, with ample wooded separation between sites, is a significant feature that sets this campground apart. Customer Reviews
This is a no amenity campground. You have a large campsite with a full hookup. You have trees between you and your neighbors. It is small privately owned, self check-in and checkout. Firewood is available for you to get and use the honor pay system for it. A dumpster for your garbage. Come prepared with a long sewer hose because it is all the way in the back of the site.
Cutuna range campground has excellent sites for RVs only. Full hookups, reasonable prices and pretty close to the trails and Crosby North Dakota. I was there mainly for mountain biking, but drove through the town, which was adorable. Had some really cool restaurants. The town had a really cool mix of vocals and hipsters that looks like it helps the economic side of Crosby. It really looked as if the population embraces mountain biking, and fishing in this region I can’t wait to go back.
We absolutely loved our stay at Cuyuna Range Campground! It’s a quiet space to kick your feet up and relax after spending the day biking or kayaking the mine lakes! Dan and Angela are amazingly responsive and helpful if you need something. Firewood is accessible and there are SO MANY things to see and within an easy 30 minute drive. We hope to come back again for another wonderful vacation! This campground is truly a gem.
We enjoyed our weekend stay immensely! Absolutely dead quiet at night, we could hear the wolves howling. You can hear the highway during the day, little more noise than I expected. But did not degrade the experience, the sites are absolutely HUGE! The driveway/parking pads are not angled however, so you may have to nudge into your neighbors site across from you to get well situated depending on the size of your rig. The only major complaint, and it's so small, is the fire pit ring isn't buried. So when you are sitting around it at night, you can barely see it unless it's absolutely raging. Which also means the heat only gets you from your shoulders up. So we had cold legs and hot faces. But again, this is just feedback for a brand new campground that is clearly going to be a staple in the community. Will absolutely book again. I should also mention that the owners were incredibly accommodating when we had a last minute reschedule due to a family emergency, they helped us figure out our options for moving dates with grace and great customer service.
This is a very well ran sight. It was nice to have full hook up and not feel like you are on top of other RVs. It was the first time we took the dogs and they loved it. It would be nice if there were some walking trails throughout the woods at the grounds. But over all a great experience.
