My husband and I stayed here for about a week in September and really enjoyed our stay. We are traveling full time in a Class C RV with no tow vehicle. One of the greatest things about the park is the walking trail within the park that led to Tin Cup Ridge trail. You can also access this trail from the parking lot of Wrigley's Chicago Bar and Grill (I'd recommend them for lunch as well!) Check in was easy, the staff is friendly and the bathrooms were clean. Yes, there is a bar across the street, but the music stopped at 10pm and it really wasn't that loud. People also mention that spaces are tight, but we were fine in our 30ft. We would stay here again!

Worst site in 40 years of camping - bright lights and noise from the warehouse directly below us where the back of our lot dropped off about 15’, neighboring sewer line emptied directly beside our picnic table, so unlevel we were not able to safely enter camper. We left a day early and found a safe spot. This one should be condemned and anyone having to stay there should be refunded.

We stayed a couple of weeks and had everything we needed. The staff are particularly friendly and the park is clean and well kept. We particularly enjoyed a good level concrete pad after months on gravel in other sites in Colorado! Yes there is a biker bar across the road which we found entertaining and they serve a good pub meal. I recommend a visit. Main cons were that the sites are a very narrow and there is a fair bit of road noise from Colfax. Our site A06 - we had a good bit of space compared to other sites - but most sites had basically no room to sit outside your camper and enjoy. On the whole a pleasant stay and a great location to visit Golden and Denver. Good value for money. We will come back if in the area.

Expensive and urban. Not the camping we usually do, but we stayed here a week because it is centrally located to all the people we came to see, and was a great hub to drive out from in every direction. Close access to all the thoroughfares we traveled all week. But the campers are so close together and crammed in on narrow concrete pads, where we were we didn't even have a space to set lawn chairs +not that we had time to just relax, as busy as our week was, and it was very very hot outside too. The view we had of the full moon was above a very lit-up industrial business behind our camper...but we chose the back row (sight unseen) as opposed to a spot nearer the front where the bands at the biker bar across the street are known to be extremely loud. We could even hear it clear in the back with windows closed, but it didn't keep us awake. It may not be ideal, but Dakota Ridge served us well for what we needed on this family and friends reunion trip.

We stayed here for a week and weren’t very impressed by any means. The front of the park faces a very loud biker bar across the street and the backside which we stayed on butts up to some shop with loud tools/machines a good portion of the day so not a very quiet place anywhere you stay. There are a laundry list of rules and things you can’t do which is always off putting for a campground. There are not many trees so there’s barely any shade so if it’s hot outside there’s really no escape from it. It has laundry but it was the most expensive we’ve seen so far at $3 per wash and $2.50 per dryer load. And they only allow propane fires, not even charcoal grills so for someone who loves a good campfire and to grill on my charcoal grill that was a major negative mark. We work remotely so good wi-fi is always a bonus but unfortunately this wi-fi was barely usable, even for just using your phone, which is not unusual for a campground but still worth noting. Luckily our Verizon service consistently had 3-4 bars of 5G so we were able to use our jet pack for any internet needs. The positive things that took it from a 2 star to a 3 star is that the sites are a pretty good size, it’s close to a lot of stores, restaurants, etc, it has a small pool and hot tub (hot tub was out of order while we stayed here), and it has a cool hill you can climb and see views of Denver. We stayed in site M29 which as I mentioned was sort of in the back and was spacious enough for what we needed. The sites are also all concrete so leveling was very easy. Oh, and it had a lot of cute rabbits running around! Overall it wasn’t the worst place we’ve ever stayed by any means but we would likely not stay here again unless we were just passing through for a night or two and/or if nothing else in the area was available.
