Nice camp site to avoid the heat from down below! Stopped here passing through from Utah to Colorado and it was perfect for our needs. Got bit up a decent amount overnight and flies were a little annoying in the morning but otherwise, nice spot with plenty of shade and greenery

Nice campground. Clean toilets. Usually not crowded. Only $10 a night, half that for seniors. Lots of deer and turkeys in this Gamble oaks campground. Not a lot of road traffic noise. Easy ride to back of Canyonlands or to Moab.

The deer, turkeys, and chipmunks, are absolutely beautiful. The forest is oak and aspen, with some conifers. There's plenty space, beautiful mountains, totally pleasant place, and close to town, with Newspaper Rock only half-hour away. Moab is just an hour away. $15/night, wonderful. We didn't even need to level the trailer on the space we chose. Unfortunately there was also a dead deer about fifty feet from the camper, which started to smell by the time we left, and it was a challenge to keep the dogs away from it. Hopefully the buzzards have cleaned that up. There's a very nice pond a couple miles away, but I don't know if there are any fish in it.
