We had fun at this beach. Water is not so clear, but it was ok. They have clean restrooms, grill, clean, no trash and they have kids playground. Overall, it was a nice beach to visit.
It's a camping site in Illinois about 1 hour drive from St. Louis. You can swim and fish here. But needs a license to fish. I like the area as it is beautiful. The drawback is there are too many flies and it's not a good place to grill your meats. The restroom is very clean.
We had the most wonderful day at the beach!
Dam West Beach… Dam fine area. Dam fine beach. Dam fine restrooms. Dam fine parking. Dam fine trail over the spillway. Dam West Beach… Check it out sometime.
Looks great I'm going to be there on the 17th for a SEIU Union picnic. I've been to the area a couple times but not the beach area yet 😎
It's a well kept park with lots of picnic tables and space to spend time with family. The beach looked clean and was being used by a lot of people. There were a couple nice playgrounds with lots of kids playing. It was picturesque until some douche canoe showed up and turned his radio up to 11. Thankfully that guy brought us back to reality so we didn't enjoy ourselves too much.
Removed 1 star because of all the sand spiders. Otherwise, beautiful and will be returning.
