This was my second stay with Never Summer Nordic Yurts and first time at the Dancing Moose Yurt. This yurt is well equipped and pretty accessible. We had a quarter mile hike in from our car, which wasn't bad even in deep fresh snow. Inside, we found the basics we needed for a pleasant two-night stay. While not too far from the county road, this place felt remote and we caught glimpses of several animals including a moose and fox that came right by the yurt. The views are also gorgeous right from the porch. Inside, we found all the cooking items we needed and more. The solar lights did a good job of lighting the place. No one in our group had cell or internet service there which was fine but would worry me a bit if we had an emergency. The yurt was well stocked with wood and the stove served our heating needs well. While this yurt had three bunk beds, it would probably hold no more than 3-4 people tops. We were a couple with two dogs and it felt like just enough space. The folks at NSN were fantastic and very communicative prior to our stay. We let them know about a minor issue with the door lock and they seemed eager to fix the issue when we left. I couldn't recommend this place more for a quiet getaway in the beautiful Colorado backcountry. Glamping at its finest! We will be back!
