10/4/24 was closed. Unsure if just for season (as other places nearby were still opened).

Their gas pumps were broken. They tried to sell me 2 overpriced gallons from a gas can, but two staffers couldn’t pour it into my tank. They basically dribbled a little bit next to the gas cap and when I said this wasn’t working, they asked me for $2. I paid the $2 for basically nothing just so I could get out of there and go to a real gas station. All the while some musician was yammering on in between bad 70s rock covers on their little music stage. Will never go back.

Used to snowmobile here and rent cabins in the 90's and 2000's. So sad it burned down. It had the coolest old Post Office, store and restaurant. Best service anywhere. Got drunk many a time in the bar and restaurant. This place was paradise. Hopefully the new owner's can rise up and bring it back to what it used to be or even better. Live off grid and have to snowmobile into my new house in winter and the reason I had the chones to buy my new home and do that was because of Dardanelle Resort!

This is a resort on the way on the Mono lake and Mammoth lakes via Sonora. We had to stop at the provision store to check which was the nearest gas station. The lady managing the store kindly explained the route correctly and provided accurate information about the nearby gas stations. In fact she even provided us two gallons of fuel for our car at a lower price than the the gas station we later found at Bridgeport ( which the lady mentioned). Thanks to the lady we were able to drive out from there with a peace of mind 😬.

Absolutely loved this camp site. We originally wanted to go Pinecrest but it was full. We ended up driving further and happened upon Dardanelle and couldn't be happier. The staff were extremely friendly and the cost wasn't bad, $27 a night. All the camp spots were nicely spaced from each other, the river was maybe a 5 minute walk, and they had movie night for the kids. We plan to come back every year.
