Dark Sky RV Campground

We love this place!! The only reason there is 4 stars on location is that it's in a kind of weird, unexpected spot - like in a flat field. Having said that, it's centrally located to many outdoor adventures, which is awesome. The campground itself is AMAZING. SO well kept, and the attention to detail is excellent - the toilets, showers are great, but can we talk about that communal space?? Wow. LOVE IT. Big fire pit (2 of them), a pizza oven, a grill, sink for washing dishes. A "living room" space that is new and so comfy. There is also a mercantile that is open for supplies, wine, ice cream and someone made some really tasty homemade jelly - yum! The hosts are very nice, and helpful. Every time we pass through this area we stay here. Highly recommend.

Absolutely loved our time at Dark Sky and we look forward to a return visit! As truck campers (we have a tent designed to be set up in the bed of my husband's truck), Dark Sky was a fantastic option for some upgraded amenities during a camping weekend. The hosts are wonderful and camp kitty Clea is an absolute highlight. We loved having our own private bungalow area, as well as access to a 24/7 market. We received some fantastic hiking recommendations from the hosts for nearby hikes (a combo of 5 hikes about 45 minutes east of town to fill a day). Last photo is from our Wire Pass hike, which was one of the highlights of our trip!

We had a lovely time at Dark Sky! We loved the luxury campsites for our camper van. Fit perfectly, and private with their decks. We were immediately greeted by the owner Andy. He was super nice and friendly. Our pups loved it too! They had a cute dog area. Loved waking around the grounds and the main area was so cool! They had a little shop with homemade goods and drinks/snacks you can buy through the honor system. Bathrooms and showers were so impressive and clean. Will definitely be coming back in the future!

This was our second visit here and it was even more amazing than the first time, which I didn't think could be possible! The campsites are large, and easy to use. The bathhouses are fabulous as well as the common areas. They have added a dog park and for us traveling with fur babies this is always a welcome site. The team is friendly, helped looked after our fur babies while we were away AND even shared freshly baked cookies! This will always be our go to campground when we are in the area. Well done!!

This was one of the most unique and genuinely exquisite experiences I’ve ever had traveling. The team/family they have there truly changed my perspective on Knab Utah and showed how much a kind community changes everything. From their evening happy hours, sharing stories of their favorite BBQ spots in the nation to the cutest build of a “camp ground”, everything was beyond expectation. My best friend has raved about this place, the heated floors in the bathroom, the out door showers, the absolutely adorable aesthetic. We were originally only staying one day but after meeting the hosts and seeing how every part of the experience had been thought through, we had to stay another day. I will be telling everyone I know to make a special stop there and it will be a required part of my annual travels. I didn’t get to check out the themed restaurant in town, but next time. HIGHLY recommend, even if it’s off of your path worth every second. 💜
