Datil Well Campground is fantastic! It's extremely well-maintained, with clean restrooms and water available. The price can't be beat—$5.00 per night, or $2.50 for seniors with a Golden Age Pass. It's hard to find a better deal for such a beautiful spot. The staff takes pride in keeping the place in great shape, making it perfect for a peaceful camping experience. Highly recommended.

I stayed for a week, and it's beautiful. It's now my number one favorite campground. Best price and cleanest I've ever seen. The vault toilets and building were spotless. The staff does an outstanding job. The trails were perfect for me (I'm 60 and out of shape). The views were amazing. We had all kinds of weather, and even that was great. I'm definitely going back. I just hope others respect this place so it can be enjoyed for years to come.

I arrived on a Wednesday in a 38' Renegade. There are three electric sites (17, 19, and 21). The park had three campers when we arrived. We got site 21, which had electric (50A) and was large enough for the Renegade, the Jeep, and still had room left over. First come, first served. By Friday, all electric sites were full, and the park was half full. Water is available from spigots throughout the park (not at individual sites), so bring water. No dump station. We had an almost new and immaculate shelter and picnic table on a concrete slab. Really new and clean. Open skies for Starlink. AT&T has zero bars. Beautiful area and park. Arrive early. The hosts were friendly and working the park each day. Looks great.

I think this is the best campground I've ever stayed at! Clean! From the latrines to the sites to the trails...and the trails are great for those who like a nice path with beautiful scenery that your dog can also enjoy. There are signs telling you about many of the sites you'll see, and even a gazebo where the trails branch off (with a map). The sites are large, well-spaced, with lots of trees and shrubs for privacy. There's a "give one, take one" little library at the visitor's center, which also provides Wi-Fi. You can sit in the little cabin, do your internet tasks, and enjoy some memorabilia about the campground. Quite interesting information about the wells. I simply loved it here. $5/night.

I spent one night. The campground and toilets were pristine. The hiking trails lead to beautiful vistas. My only negative was the barking dogs of other campers while trying to sleep. It's not free, but only $5. Day use is free. Bring water. The spigots were not open. Highly recommend.
