Days Inn by Wyndham Cookeville

Desk clerk was not overly friendly but did greet me and was nice enough when I asked questions. TV remote was taped together but did work. Shower pressure was amazing but shower curtain had black hand prints and what looked like mold on it. The beds were clean and comfortable

My room was very clean and in excellent condition. Their Staff was very helpful and considerate. Really appreciated the showerhead being mounted high enough to not hit you in the face like most motel showers. The outer property was clean and well cared for. The area is safe and well lit. Could stand to have a digital thermostat on the heating unit but works well as is with a bit of trial n error. The reach on the sink faucet is a bit short for where it's mounted. You'll be banging your knuckles into the back surface of the sink while washing your hands. Seems that many of the motels are having this issue as they age and require replacement faucets. Overall,... clean room, bedding, floors, and bathroom area. I would definitely stay here again. A big thank you to Mike for assuring me of a ground level room before I reserved the room for 3 days.

With a mixed bag of reviews, we cautiously took the plunge for a two night stay at this Days Inn. The good: -Easy and pleasant check-in (30 minutes early). -We requested a smoking room, and expected that usual smoking room odor when we first entered. It was not there! That was a nice surprise. -While there is evidence of facelift in an older building, everything seemed clean. -The bedding and towels were dated but clean. -The king bed was extremely comfortable. The things I would improve: -Our TV simply did not work. It was an older flatscreen, and seemed to be hooked up to cable or antenna. We tried to troubleshoot a bit, but gave up. It turned on, and found channel 67, but that was it, and nothing actually came up. Trying to get to a menu to scan for channels or change input did not work. It blipped quickly back out of the menu. I’m not deleting stars for this because we were seldom in our room except to sleep… so didn’t bother alerting the front desk about this. Hey front desk! Room 153 needs a new TV! -Better ADA parking signage in front of the ADA rooms. The paint in the parking lot was faded and easy to miss. We returned the second night to a truck with NO sign of handicap plates, stickers, etc. in the ADA parking spot. I’m okay with parking further away as I’m mobile with a cane. Someone who uses a chair might have a difficult time with this. It’s a Days Inn. If you go in with that expectation, it’s a comfortable night of sleep in a dated, but decently clean room. Then get up in the morning and head a couple blocks to the Waffle House with those same expectations and it’s a win all around.

RIP OFF ,Check is is at 3 I arrived at 2pm . The parking lot was EMPTY but the guy at desk said is would be $10 cash extra for me to check in early! I canceled room Booked the Qualty In . 100% better room and Location.

Hotel was right off the main road, the reception personnel were nice & helpful. Had a pool that was 5 feet deep at the deepest point and it was open 9:30 AM but right next to two fast food drive thru order lines. Breakfast was only coffee, granola bars, muffins, and applesauce don't expect waffles here. The room was attempted to be renovated but the floor was coming apart in places, bathroom door had a giant gap in it, beds were comfortable & AC had a hard time keeping up. For the price I got more than what I paid for but I wouldn't stay here again.
