The rooms was a bit dated, however I found it to be quite clean and comfortable. Very peaceful couple of days here. The hotel is in an excellent location relative to area restaurants and Charleston and the front desk staff was very efficient and pleasant. A wonderful spot!
When we got here the first thing I noticed was that the room smells strongly of mildew. And from there it just got worse… Every piece of furniture is chipped up and wore out. The bathtub has pieces falling off of the tiles and toilet is stained. The mini fridge is rusted all over the outside. The ice machine is broken. I sent my husband Jack down to the front desk to get extra pillows so that maybe I could get some rest in this nasty hotel.. and shocker, they don't have extra pillows. There are yucky people in this building that appear to be living here!! My husband Jack & I are only staying one night and in my opinion, that’s one too many.
I can honestly say that this was the worst hotel that I have ever stayed in. The only good things were that the location was convenient to cruise port and the person at check in desk was very nice. The elevator had vomit in it. There were piles of dog poo next to where we parked. The room smelled bad and the tile was literally falling off around the tub. There were questionable people hanging around the property. I will never stay in a Wyndham property again and in fact cancelled a reservation that I had at Cocoa Beach for next year.
I had hopes. The service was pretty good, they were attentive and quick. The rooms however are a different story. Firstly I will say the rooms are "clean", however you wouldn't really know it considering there is only 1 light in the room. Double beds are smaller than full size beds.. so sleep was fun. Glad I brought my own blankets. I get it it's a Days Inn but let's just say 1 night was enough. Atmosphere was a little sketch... seems like people live there, and it shows. I'm sure I would not stay here again... sorry staff it's not you it's me.
I decided to book a room in Day' Inn because of the proximity to Boone Hall. Annother criterion was to have breakfast in the hotel and not being forced to look for a breakfast facility. What was offered me at Days Inn was simply a scandal. Some small packets with crisbies were place on a shelf at the wall. There was no bread. Happily one could serve oneself with coffee from a machine. There was neither a chair to sit on nor a table to eat from. You had to carry the "breakfast" ingredients a few hundred metres back to your room. I wrote to Days Inn imforming them about the conditions at Mt. Pleasant. All I got was a pre-structured mail with a "Thank you". I would have gone for a swim at the hotel pool. But even if the weather had permitted it, I would not have set a foot into the pool because it had not been cleaned for months. Conclusion: REFRAIN FROM BOOKING THIS TERRIBLE HOTEL
