Stayed in a cabin last weekend. The booking, check-in, cancellation ( I booked 2 & cancelled 1) and deposit refund were a smooth easy online process. The camp host Bill was gracious and engaging when we bothered him at close to 9 at night. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The area next to our cabin with a fire ring felt secluded even though every cabin was full. The bathroom/ showers look brand new and were kept clean and stocked. We could not have asked for a better experience! So thank you to all of you who work so hard to keep this area pristine!
Dead Horse is a prize, right in the center of town, there's beauty, serenity and nature to be enjoyed. A wonderful place to safely walk your hounds and meet with friends. Bring a camera and plan on enjoying yourself.
Nice state park with well cared for sites and shower houses. Route 89A will take you 22 miles to Sedona. Fishing is popular in the state park with 3 lagoons to enjoy. Hosts are friendly and helpful. Hookups are safe and reliable. Dog friendly.
Park had many easy hiking trails. We enjoy the Lime Kiln trail the most, it is unshaded so we prefer it early in the morning. Nice hike along the Verde River is shaded . Fishing in the ponds is allowed . Playground appears adequate, though not spectacular. Horseback riding is available for a fee. Restrooms are clean, dogs are welcome. Campgrounds are very nice also.
Plenty of room, nice pull through for our 38' toy hauler. Baths were a nice bonus. Electric and water, dump station as you leave. We rode to Honanki Heritage on our sxs. Camp is close to Cottonwood and only about 15 min to Jerome. We visited Gold King Ghost Mine. If you love old cars, trucks and equipment, you will like the Gold King. The campground is a good place for families, kids were riding their bikes around camp, but we're quiet. Swimming close by at the lagoon.
