Deas island park is a great place for a scenic walk. Dog friendly and many lookouts where you will often see flocks of migratory birds. There are many picnic areas within the park and a dock to launch your canoe, kayak, paddle-board.

Peaceful & Scenic. Deas Island Regional Park is a hidden gem for anyone looking to enjoy nature, wildlife, and peaceful walking trails. The park offers beautiful river views, lush greenery, and plenty of open space, making it perfect for picnics, and long nature walks. The wide, well-maintained paths are great for all skill levels, and because of the park’s size, it never feels too crowded. There’s also a neat heritage home to check out, and plenty of parking and public restrooms near the entrance, making it convenient for a day trip or outing. If you love birdwatching, this park is a must-visit! It’s surrounded by wetlands, marshy forests, and open meadows, attracting lots of migratory birds throughout the year. You’ll hear lots of different bird calls in the spring/summer as you walk, and if you look closely, you might spot some interesting insects and other small wildlife. The park is especially beautiful in the summer, but I enjoy it in the fall and winter... but be sure to bring water and good walking shoes. The only downside is that the gates close early (locked at 5 PM sharp) so plan accordingly. Cell service can be mixed depending on your carrier. Whether you’re visiting for a relaxing stroll, a picnic with friends, or some quiet time in nature, Deas Island is absolutely worth a visit!

Nice easy well maintained trails that provide lots of shade from the sun in the summer. It’s very quiet during the week and not overly busy on the weekends. Great place for a family bbq. There are restrooms with running water, park staff frequently travel through the park professionally addressing those with off leash dogs.

Summer days are great here! Very quite park, with 2km trails for walk. Remember to wear comfortable shoes and with sun protection. Also an ideal place to enjoy an outdoor BBQ!

It's a very nice and peaceful place, perfect for a relaxing day out. We spotted a few eagles perched majestically on the trees, which was quite a sight! A photographer showed up with a model for a photoshoot, adding a bit of excitement to the calm atmosphere. There are plenty of free picnic benches scattered around, making it easy to find a spot to sit and enjoy the scenery. The weather on this sunny but slightly chilly September 15th day was perfect for a quiet picnic, with just the right mix of sun and crisp air. It felt like the ideal setting for a family outing or even just some alone time in nature.
