DEEP RIVER CAMPGROUND & RV PARK Introduce
DEEP RIVER CAMPGROUND & RV PARK, located at 814 McDowell Country Trail, Asheboro, NC 27203, falls under the Campgrounds & RV Parks category, providing a range of camping and RV services for visitors. This campground is noted for its friendly atmosphere and convenient amenities.
Based on customer reviews, the campground offers a positive experience, with friendly staff who are readily available to assist guests. The sites are primarily pull-through, although some reviewers noted that maneuvering larger RVs, like a 27ft travel trailer, can be a bit tight in certain areas, such as site 7. However, there is ample space for backing out, mitigating any potential issues.
The sites are described as being close together, fostering a communal atmosphere. Each site is equipped with a picnic table and a fireplace, enhancing the outdoor experience. The campground also offers trails and other amenities that are considered "cool" by reviewers. A washer and dryer are also available, which is highly appreciated by long term campers.
It's important to note that the campground is frequented by workers who leave early in the morning in diesel trucks, resulting in some noise at around 4 am. However, the campground is generally quiet throughout the day until around 4 pm, when residents return. Even then, the noise level remains relatively low.
The monthly rate of $1,100 is considered reasonable by reviewers, especially when compared to other long-term sites with fewer amenities. One reviewer mentioned that while some sites have rocks that make it difficult for children to play, they overall recommend the campground. The owner is also described as "very polite."
For local users in the Asheboro, NC, area, DEEP RIVER CAMPGROUND & RV PARK offers a convenient and well-equipped camping option. Potential campers should consider the early morning noise and the layout of individual sites. Contact the campground at (336) 629-4069 or +1 336-629-4069 for more information and reservations. Customer Reviews
It’s was a great site. We got there and were greeted by staff to make sure if help was needed they could. It’s pull through sites, we were on site 7 and it was a little to tight in our 27ft travel trailer to pull through when leaving but it really wasn’t any concern because there was plenty of room to back out. The sites in that area are close together but everyone was super friendly. There were picnic tables and fireplaces at every site. The amenities were cool and the trails were a lot of fun. It’s a site that has a lot of workers on it so all the diesel trucks leave early in the morning and it’s pretty quiet all day until around 4pm then everyone starts getting home. Even after everyone is home is still pretty quiet. It’s $1,100 monthly which seems expensive but we came from a site that had zero amenities and was a long term and they were charging $1600 per month so we didn’t think this price was all that bad for the amount of things to get to do on the site. 10/10 would defiantly recommend.
We are staying at spot #9 and there isn’t much place for my daughter to play due to all the rocks. But it is such a nice campground. The only noise you hear is the diesel trucks leaving at 4am but I have a 1 year old and it doesn’t bother her. Everyone here is super friendly & the owner is so polite. I definitely recommend Deep River. The washer and dryer are also such a nice amenity.
Quiet, beautiful, campground tucked just far enough from town. Enjoyed walking around the lake, and the trails down by the river. Nice laundry facility, and hangout space. Would stay again. 👍🏻
This campground turned out to be an incredibly positive surprise! We needed a place to stay so we could attend an event in the next town. When I called for a last-minute reservation, the owner, Scott was very accommodating. Not only did he fit us in, he gave us a fabulous site next to the pond! It’s very quiet and peaceful here, and we certainly enjoyed our stay!
Ok. I've been reading these reviews and have to respond. Back when George owned this place I parked my RV here for about a year while I finished my house. It was a good place. A couple years ago I sold the house and and bought a new 5th wheel RV and called this place to inquire about a lot on a monthly basis. The one who answered the phone was indeed rude. The price was ridiculous, so I came on towards the coast and have been here going on my 3rd year. Here's a point I have to make. I'm 60 years old, was born and raised in Asheboro. No matter how much these folks want to blame mountains for the WiFi problem it simply is not true. Asheboro is not the mountains. It isn't even the foothills. The problem is buying cheap Internet packages from the provider whether it be spectrum or community web. This is for the park owner here. Instead of getting on here and belittling people and quite frankly boasting about the full park due to the new developments around siler city ECT. You need to remember these will be completed but you will still need guest in the park. I understand some people can't be satisfied no matter what you do. To those I would simply say ty for the info and God bless. Kind words cost nothing. But they are worth more than gold. May God bless each and everyone of you and America.
This campground is a hidden gem! Over Memorial Day weekend two of the owners were there to escort guests to their sites. The maintenance crew was hard at work. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. The bathhouse is spacious and was very clean. The new ownership is paying close attention to necessary improvements and actively implementing those improvements.
Miss john. Not sure about the black yet but the grounds are looking beautiful. Let's just get our pool up and running!! 😄 Very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend this hidden gem, I hope Gary black green duck and Stella brown are taken good care of!!!
