Deer Creek Forest Camp Introduce
Welcome to Deer Creek Forest Camp, located in Danville, Washington. As part of the Campgrounds & RV Parks category, we offer a unique camping experience in an area recovering from a recent fire. While the landscape has changed, the camp remains a gem for nature enthusiasts.
Deer Creek Forest Camp is situated near the Kettle Crest, a beautiful area for outdoor exploration. Although the camp was once nestled in a cozy forested spot, the fire has significantly altered the landscape, resulting in a more open and exposed environment. Visitors are advised to bring an awning for shade and protection from the elements. Despite the changes, the area remains a beautiful spot.
The campground offers six campsites, two of which can accommodate campers or RVs. All sites have fire rings, and there is a pit toilet that is regularly cleaned and stocked. Visitors can expect to see a variety of wildlife, including birds, owls, deer, and occasionally bears and gophers. There is no water source on-site, but a nearby town provides access to supplies.
Recent work by the Northwest Youth Core has improved the park, and it is expected to reopen to the public soon, though this is subject to change. Visitors should check for current opening status before planning a trip.

Although I've never camped at this campground, I've used the trailhead here. The Kettle Crest is a beautiful place, but this area will be recovering from fire for many years. The campground was once set in a cozy forested spot near the highway. Since the fire, it looks very open and exposed. Be sure to bring an awning if you camp.
AMAZING camp site. It doesnt look like its former glory but its defiantly a gem. There are 6 sites to set up camp, 2 are big enough for campers/RVs. All six plus one day use site all have fire rings, theres one pit toilet that is always clean and stocked with TP. So much wildlife birds, owls, deer, occasionally bears, and gophers. Has no water source but is close by to a town where you can go get some. Northwest Youth Core just recently finished a project there so the park should be open to the public some time soon (*subject to change*).
On a clear night with no moon you can see a good portion of the Milky Way.
Snowy, otherwise ok, as it will never have the huge tammarck trees in my life time
It's slowly growing back from the forest fires
