Our family stayed at this KOA and were very impressed! The location is currently under construction but only a small portion which didn't impact our stay (currently expanding on the far side but on pause during the winter). Otherwise, the views were excellent (site 42), the location was awesome (within 15 - 25 minutes to 3 historic local towns), the amenities were good for the winter and included electric / Sewer with a water fill station, and finally the staff was excellent. I believe his name was Wayne, but the winter caretaker went above and beyond to make sure we were safe and taken care of. Can't say enough and will likely be returning. Also, as a bonus, we were the only campers on the upper portion, and it snowed on Christmas!
Wow! Is what I need to start off with here. The location is spectacular. It is a steep drive into the park from I70 but man is it worth it for the views. The staff was great, the pizza ordering system was flawless and delivered to our site. The kids enjoyed the playground and gem mining. The offer breakfast for a reasonable price but we passed as we wanted to keep going. The site we had (34) was concrete and perfectly level. We also had a raised patio with chairs and a table. Would definitely stay here again.
Love this KOA campground. It's at about 9,000 ft in elevation. Beautiful views. Clean campground. Very friendly staff. Good size camp store. Very clean and comfortable cabins. The beds are very comfortable. Great water pressure and hot water in the showers. Very quiet. In the summer months they will deliver pizza and wings to your site. Have stayed at this campground a few times and it has always been a good time. Cabin sites have a gas grill as well. They set you up really good here. Fuel and convenient store just down the hill. Outlets have USB ports as well.
Great KOA - would stay again next time through this way! Beautiful views, large laundry room, great store, hot tubs, friendly staff. Let us check in early. Good bird watching and some other campers saw a moose right below the campground 😍
Had a lovely stay at this KOA! The cabin was very nice and had everything we needed. The staff was AWESOME!! Zack and Regan made us amazing pancakes with the best service and conversation. She even made my daughter a triceratops shaped pancake! Everyone was so nice, helpful and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again.
