Amazing place to spend one or two nights when visiting the Grand Canyon. Just be aware that there is no fresh water available to fill the tank of your RV and there are no showers on the campground.
We stayed 2 nights here along our travels and were in camp site #24. All within the vicinity of the camp host site There is a bathroom, a sink for washing dishes, and a water fill spigot (per camp host) “NOT FOR RV use” the water is limited and RVs are prohibited from filling from it or it will drain the water for the area. The spigot is for filling small jerry cans for drinking water. The camp sites all offer some shade at some point in the day. My biggest issue was that the camp sites are too close together and excess smoke from surrounding fires flooded our roof top tent with no where to escape for clean air. When I came out of my tent to escape the smoke there was smoke coming in from all directions so I could not escape it. Aside from the smoke inhalation and noise from other campers this was a decent place to stay while exploring the east and south rim. The camp host was amazing and offered great insight to the area.
Great location with a short walk to the rim for spectacular morning and evening sunrise/sets. Desert View trading post walkable nearby for anything basic you need or forget. Camp hosts were also informative and friendly.
