Desert Vista RV Village Introduce

Welcome to Desert Vista RV Village, located at 2020 Hatch Hwy, Deming, NM 88030. As a part of the 'Campgrounds & RV Parks' category, this RV park has received extremely negative reviews, highlighting significant security and management issues.

While some guests have noted the quiet location and relatively low price, these positives are overshadowed by serious concerns. The presence of a nearby chicken farm may cause noise and odor issues, although it reportedly quiets down at night. Traffic noise is also mentioned, but no trains.

However, the most significant concerns revolve around security and management. Guests have reported theft from storage units, with claims of inadequate security measures, including a lack of security cameras and insurance. There are also allegations of holes cut in the storage unit fence.

Management practices have been heavily criticized, with claims of staff misuse of facilities and a lack of enforcement of rules. The park is described as a "hell hole" with loud music, excessive traffic at all hours, and alleged drug activity. The pool is reportedly full of sand, and the café is closed.

Additionally, there are serious allegations of contaminated water, which the management reportedly does not disclose to guests. The overall safety of guests is questioned, with concerns about the people running the park.

Desert Vista RV Village offers a quiet location, but with significant security issues, theft, poor management, and potential water contamination. It is strongly recommended to avoid this RV park due to numerous negative reviews and safety concerns.

For inquiries, you can contact Desert Vista RV Village at (575) 275-3878 or +1 575-275-3878. However, given the overwhelming negative feedback, potential guests should seek alternative accommodations.

Customers consistently report significant issues with security, theft, management, and potential water contamination. It is strongly advised to consider alternative RV parks.

Nice quiet place. $25.59. -1 star for the chicken farm. Very clean and the chickens got quiet after dark. A little traffic noise no trains heard. Even had a non descript security guy there.

This has been an experience of a life time paid all the monies and even rented a storage unit put a bunch of stuff in storage unit and it wasn't in there for 5 days and someone cut the lock and stole my stuff slot of it I use for work so now I cannot do my jobs , this is a damn joke so no security cameras, and no insurance ,so waiting for the owner to get back to discuss what is going to happen from here, my guess is it was an inside job and I would tell everyone to stay as far away from this place as possible , no showers , can't use the cantina cause the office lady has the keys and will not give them up as she uses it for her personal family's , they use the owner like he owes them something all around this place could be great if he fired all of them and laid down some rules and enforce them but these people take his kindness for a weakness and walk all over him , and we won't discuss the hood across the highway , like the girls that ruined the showers , but still live here. I am hoping for some compensation for my stolen tools but don't expect any , just hoping he is fair and offers something as they stole about 5 thousand dollars in tools from the storage , it was just all to convenient , got to looking around and there were seven holes cut in the fence around storage unit , Rick Retardo is a lazy , pos , there have been children living there the pool is full of sand the Cafe is long gone and the place is really just a hell hole ,with loud music , excessive traffic at all hours of the night , loud music and drug (methamphetamine) and gun dealers living on site , it's a mess . I would stay as far away as possible from this joint , no showers , just not very good people running this place , I don't think they care about guest safety . I am not done with "Rici Retardo" we have unfinished business, and the longer he hides from me the worse its gonna be for him . The water is contaminated, but he don't mention none of this to the guest he sure takes that money though , well it's paybac k time retardo , DO NOT STAY HERE !!!

As always facts first then opinion. We stayed just one night but it was easy in and out. It is right on the highway so there is some traffic sound. No matter what I did I could not get their water spigot not to leak. The wind blew a gale and the office lady says it always does. Opinion. Price was fair for what you get but you have to drive a ways for everything. There's a restaurant on site that we didn't try. We would stay again for one night but it's not a place to camp for a while.

Nice level spaces, trees between spaces. Water pressure high enough to exfoliate your skin! Not sure if it was the owner of the manager that I spoke with, but made check in very easy for me contactless. And it is under $26 per night. Far enough outside of town not to deal with the hustle and bustle.but close enough if you were want to run in and get something to eat or go to Walmart it's a hop skip and a jump. I'm just staying overnight passing through not really sure what the town has to offer. But would definitely stay here if traveling the same direction on a return trip.

Love it here! Nice folks. Checked in after hours. Convenient after hours instructions and drop box beside the office which is open 2-5pm M-F except bank holidays. Lots of maneuvering space for my long rig and parking, too in the generous pull-through sites. Some shade trees beside the rv. Large unisex shower rooms oversized and compatible for small family accommodation. Nice lounge/rec room opposite laundry adjacent to a beautiful shaded, green courtyard. Felt very secure away from Deming, I 10, and the main railroad. I could hear a train whistle, but it was not loud. No interstate traffic noise all night! A rooster crowing at a farm nearby woke my husband, but did not wake me. Price is very good seemed lower and a lot less crowded than parks in town where all the noise is. 5R Travel Center has a cafe with a decent menu, the food was perfect. We were able to pull into a special rv gas island. If your rig is like ours, you can pull into Griffin's Gas across the street and they'll gladly top up your cooking gas. It was easy to resume our trip west with I 10 entrance right off the street (Gold or 180). All these locations are within short distances from one another on a four lane street. There is a Walgreens, Walmart, and many restaurants, too. To get to Desert Vista from I-10, go north on Gold ot 180. After 5RTravel Center turn right onto HWY 26 towards Hatch. Desert Vista will quickly appear on the right or south side of the highway.
