Destin West RV Resort

My first impression after walking in to check in was Joe. He set the bar high with his friendly nature and knowledge. We stayed right across from the pool and it was perfect for our girls who could skip right over and jump in. The bath houses are immaculate as are the sites and property in general. The view of the bay is unparalleled. We watched dolphins swim and pelicans dive into the water, the girls found hermit crabs, etc. Everyone camping near us was friendly and it was a truly enjoyable trip. The amenities across the street were a great bonus. Located diagonally from The Boardwalk, The Pier, and the Gulfarium, there is much to do and many food options. We'll be back!

We loved absolutely everything about Destin West RV Resort. From the incredibly welcoming neighbors, to the staff at the front gate, to the impeccably maintained grounds & amenities. We will absolutely be visiting again. My only qualm about the entire stay had nothing to do with the RV resort itself but the connectivity to Destin and how accesible getting around on bikes/walking/golf cart in the town was. It appears that the town of FWB is making improvements to walking paths roadway improvements that I'm excited to see when I return next time!

Wifi and cable are nonexistent! No propane. In order to access utilities (water, electric, sewer) you had to fight the overgrown trees/bushes. Location was good and once construction is done, will be nice and quiet. Pool was nice.

We had extremely high hopes for this trip... We even called rite before we arrived and was assured that everything was good to go.... but it's one of the worst experiences in a camp ground that we have ever experienced!!! We were promised to use pools , hot tubs and facilities that were not available after my kids even saw them! 😢... they we were told it wasn't safe for the kids because it was an HIV testing camp???? So four of the days we have no access to what we paid for!!???? My kids were so so upset 😡 😭 because we drove the camper here just so we could enjoy this place! Shame on you Destin west camp ground!! We complained and nobody cared at all!! They were a joke!! They offered us 37 dollars back ... then later we met a couple who was also upset and they were offered 20% of their money back?... so I guess they pick and choose who deserves their money here... top Worst experiences on vacation ever!! Please save yr money and go elsewhere!! Unless you want to feel scammed out of money!

My wife and I were looking for something close to the beach and within walking distance to many activities. Destin West RV Resort checked all the boxes. We arrived and we were promptly checked in. They have an onsite pool, laundry facilities and a shower house. They are accessible 24 hours via key code and have cameras for security. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive to keeping the facility clean. If you place trash at the curb anytime during the day it's promptly picked up. We stayed in site #8. It's directly in front of the gate to Rick's which is located next door. There was a live band one night and in order to hear the music I had to turn down the outside TV to hear it so you will not be bothered. We will definitely be returning to this park!
