It's the state campground. there's no rooms, and there's no service, so to speak. great location on Lake Huron! Pretty spread out open camping. way more rustic than your average state campground. but also more room and more private. A more true camping in the forest experience, then camping at a campground experience!
This campground is a small Forrest with pull in camper access. Bonus is there is a small beach area, with access to the beach. $20 per day. One of our favorite spots for sure.
Did not camp here, and only spent two hours walking the trail. But the trail was beautiful, quiet, easy, and included beach walking and gorgeous calming forest walking. We really enjoyed it. I would love to camp at a campsite and spend the day relaxing at the beach 200 ft away!! Let's support state parks!!

We did a fall camping trip (mid October). The rustic park is nestled nicely in the woods. Some sites are large and deep with a boondocking feel. Some sites have shared drives and would make nice group sites. We love hearing the waves from Lake Huron (there is access to a swimming beach), but appreciate the small dunes and thick cedars that provide a natural wind break. There is a really nice hiking trail that runs through the woods along the beach that took us to the point.
