We really loved this resort and will definitely book again! The grounds were very clean and accommodating. The general store was a lifesaver with snacks, supplies, and essentials. Our cabin was very clean, very comfortable, and included everything we needed for a 1 week stay! We loved having a full kitchen! The views were great! Our private hot tub was clean and ready for us when we arrived! Clean and well marked roads within the resort leading to trails and towns! A beautiful local mountain goat we could go visit with! I could go on about all the great things about this resort! A+ 5 star from us! Thanks again! 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟
This was our first time here and we had an amazing time. Staff was so helpful with everything. Security was on point and everything felt safe there. The rooms were clean and everything you needed. Having gas and a wash station on site for cleaning your ATVs/SXS was a very nice feature as well. The restaurants on site were very good and staff were amazing and accommodating. Hannah the bar manager was the sweetest person and on point with everything. We left on Friday and we will be calling on Monday to book for next year for a full week. You guys have won us over!!!
Second time we stayed here and loved it. Right off the trail and close to towns if needed. Tipple tavern has great drinks. We had a great time with family and friends there!
We had an amazing time!! The staff were very helpful and friendly. Our cabin was clean and we had everything we needed. With the exception of extremely warm weather and too many bees everywhere..We still had a great time on the trails, can't wait for our next visit here.
So much to talk about here so I'll summarize it the best I can: The clubhouse offers amazing poolside bar service, a restaurant, and live music on the weekends. This will be my seventh trip to HM Trails in WV, and the food at this location is the best I have had in the area. The grounds are well-kept, secure, and well-lit. If you are used to food from larger metropolitan areas, the food here will not disappoint you as it would be competitive in any major city. My group talked to the head chef and restaurant manager while we were eating dinner. She takes her job very seriously and has managed major restaurants in far more competitive areas. In short, we were astounded. Amenities: The pro shop is well-stocked, and the rental machines are very well-kept. The cabins are convenient, and there is plenty of room to maneuver large rigs on the property. The shower house was clean, and the hot water was plentiful. Seems like this campground was built by enthusiasts. Trails: You can access the Buffalo Mountain trails directly from the campground. You can access Rockhouse by a 15-minute road or 2.5-hour trail ride. Kentucky outlaws are also just a short road ride away.
