The restaurant has good food, decent prices. Everything on tap is brewed on site. They also have a distillery that makes their own bourbon. Definitely give their adult beverage offerings a try. The bourbon was good as was the cider. For food, the wings were crispy. We had dry rubbed wings and honey garlic, both of which were excellent. Truffle fries with parmajean was good. Honestly feel that it would have been great with the dry rub seasoning alone. Service was attentive and friendly. Chicken tenders off the kids menu is what would be expected. The pub burger, beef sandwich with dip were both fantastic.
My wife and I have been to DB a handful of times since 2018 and the best piece of advice I can give you is to check their schedule before going. The very first time we went were expecting a low key dinner with drinks and instead showed up to a festival with a couple hundred people. Good times lol Overall the vibe varies depending on the crowd. You get all walks of life: bikers to families with babies in strollers. It’s a roll of the dice so keep that in mind. Food has been solid in my experience, no complaints here. The chicken in the nachos had a deep smokey flavor, which was a nice touch
Eating here it is clear... This place respects their customer. Everything was cooked in a kitchen or smoker, not a microwave. Shocker, right? In addition, we found every single dish and side to be delicious. The beef dipper sandwich was fantastic. The macaroni and cheese side was great. The baby back ribs were amazing. The rhinelager was amazing. Everything was obviously prepared with love and respect. The restaurant was clean, and the kitchen was efficient. How about the ice in the urinal, pure class, for a brewery... These guys don't screw around... You won't find a better, similar establishment, in at least a 300-mile radius, guaranteed.
We stopped in for drinks and dinner while traveling on a Wednesday in mid-June. This is quite a big place with multiple bars inside and out. We sat at the brewpub bar - everything else was closed while we were here. The bartender was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was laid back. The brewpub has a cozy cabin-like feel to it. The food was good - we got wings and pasta. Parking was easy enough. They had a big stage so I imagine that they get pretty packed when they do events. We saw groundhogs and bunnies on the way back to the car and a supercool view of the moon over the mountain on our way out.
We frequent this brewery each time we’re in town for an event at the Wintergreen Resort. The outdoor area is nice for group gatherings with plenty of picnic tables for seating. They even have some games for entertainment. They have snacks available at the outdoor bars. This time around we ordered a giant charcuterie pretzel. Service is always quick and easy. We haven’t been able to dine at the restaurant yet. It’s usually very busy when we visit.
