Beautiful set of lakes, great for fishing and recreation. Got to visit this place for the first time, and absolutely amazing views. Lake can be choppy during high wind gusts, but calm most the time.
A superb location for camping, offering a breathtaking panorama of twin lakes and majestic mountains.
Twin lake is one of my favorite lakes in Colorado!! And I cannot take Independence Pass in my way to Aspen without stopping here for couple of hours(at least). Usually I get my breakfast or lunch from Leadville and head to this campground to eat and enjoy the beautiful views.
Nice lake. Beautiful and serene. Camping and boat loading space. Day use is charged for $8 to be cash in an envelope. Not a lot of people around. So it's a great spot to enjoy.
Great location. Easy access. Stunning View. It is kinda close to the road so you may hear a vehicle drive by here and there. There is full network reception in this campsite (T-Mobile). Many people just come to the lake to spend some time with family - so you will see some come and go through the day. Leadville and Granite are very close if you had to run to get some supplies. The restroom in this campsite was the cleanest I have seen so far. Do bring firewood. There are no fallen trees in the area. Fire pits and picnic tables are available at each site. Would highly recommend for new campers to get an amazing experience!!
