This place wildly exceeded my expectations. Only $10 per night and $20 per night with electricity. Extremely affordable. This place was clean, grass was cut, set up really well. This place even has flushing toilets and showers. Highly recommend.
What a fantastic find! Quiet area with plenty of wide open spots. Primitive camped here on our way to Wyoming and back. $10 a night, you can't beat it. Lake, picnic areas, rest rooms, and bath houses. The lake had plenty of fish biting.
We were right next to the lake. It was beautiful. It's first come first serve. They have some electrical sites and some not. I believe that some even have water hook-ups. They have spots where if you were group camping then you could all be together. We watched a couple blue herons and tons of other bird catch and eat fish and bugs. Very cool. The bathrooms were clean and we'll maintained.
Very clean nice quiet on the lake camp sites. Love the horses by the bathroom. Restrokms were clean.
The primitive camping at diamond lake is some of the best grassy shoreline camping you could do in this great state of Iowa…
