Diamond Lake resort is the ideal place to stay if you are visiting Crater Lake National Park. Its only 20 minutes drive via the north entrance to Crater Lake. It also has boats for rent on the lake and its own facilities such as a restaurant. The staff here are fantastic. I was able to get really good coffee at 7am and everyone was helpful and friendly. The paperwork for renting a boat is a bit OTT, but it was great to go out on the lake and you get some really amazing views. The room we had was great. It’s a bit warn but clean and very comfortable, certainly better than I expected from a 2* resort. We had great views over the lake. The one below us (27) had a patio by the lakeside as you can see in the pictures. The food in the restaurant was excellent, full of flavour and good quality. It was great to have this on site for lunch and dinner. If you are going to Crater Lake, I would definitely recommend staying here.
I’ve been here a lot when I was a kid and I will say I want to go back in the worst way …. This is a place that brings back so much nostalgic memories… there’s a close horse back riding place my cousins and myself Went on… and we went to crater lake … this is the best family get away to get away from the crowds of The city and the rest of the world .. it’s just perfect …. I want to bring my kids within the next few years!!! My aunt and uncle used to live on the grounds and be caretakers … ill see you some day :)
Awesome place to be during the winter! get to snowmobile from out rooms they have a bar and awesome food. We come down also for the OSSA convention and its always a good time and their hospitality is great! Hopefully this year they will keep that bar open longer into the night.
Diamond lake resort has been around for ever. There are hotel, cabins, campgrounds..Marina... boat ramp.. it really is a nice hidden gem. They have just about every service you might need. We stopped in on our way to Crater Lake. Currently living Colorado ( I'm a native Oregonian) my wife had never been to this lake. . That and we were hungry. The restaurant has a pretty good menu , staff was nice and chatty. Prices are a bit more than usual but then again you are out in the middle of nowhere. When winter rolls around it's a snowmobile mecca. It's absolutely beautiful in this part of Oregon. The Portland democrats and Californians haven't destroyed this place yet.
We stayed in the Jacuzzi suite for 2 nights. The room was amazing! The only complaint we had was the bed. It's not the most comfortable, but still a pretty great stay. The staff were very warm and inviting. I'm not being dramatic when I say the whiskey Ribeye was one of the best steaks I've ever eaten. The staff inside the Bailey Room made their rounds to talk to the customers, answer questions, and just chit chat. Really refreshing! The location itself was breathtaking. Went on a little walk on Saturday to take in the view. We will be back!
