Diamond Lake Resort Introduce

Welcome to Diamond Lake Resort, a premier destination in Owensboro, Kentucky, catering to both campground and RV park enthusiasts. Located at 7301 Hobbs Rd, our resort provides a diverse range of services and amenities designed to create memorable experiences for all our guests. You can reach us at (270) 229-4900 or +1 270-229-4900.

Our campground offers spacious, treed campsites equipped with full RV hookups, ensuring a comfortable and convenient stay for RV travelers. We prioritize cleanliness, with spotless restrooms available for all guests.

Diamond Lake Resort is known for its family-friendly atmosphere and wide array of activities. Enjoy paddle boating on our scenic lake, perfect for a relaxing afternoon. We host various family activities throughout the year, making it an ideal destination for vacations and weekend getaways.

A highlight of our resort is the annual "Boo Fest," a five-weekend celebration starting the last weekend of September. During this time, the campground transforms into a festive Halloween wonderland, filled with decorations and activities, especially for children. It's a total hoot for families looking for a unique holiday experience.

For those seeking unique accommodations, we offer Tiny Houses. These charming dwellings provide a cozy and novel lodging option. However, please note that the loft areas in the Tiny Houses may be more suitable for younger, more agile individuals due to the access and space limitations. As one guest noted, "The Tiny House was charming, but it’s definitely not ideal for larger adults." If you require more space or have concerns about accessibility, our hotel rooms might be a better fit.

Whether you're looking for a relaxing RV stay, engaging family activities, or a festive holiday celebration, Diamond Lake Resort provides a comprehensive campground and RV park experience. We look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful resort in Owensboro, KY.

The Tiny House was charming, but it’s definitely not ideal for larger adults. With four big guys in our group, watching two of them climb into the lofts through the small opening and then get back down was pure comedy—fun to watch, as long as you weren’t the one doing it. The lofts are better suited for younger, more agile individuals who haven’t yet lost the flexibility of youth. My only critique is that it would have been helpful to include this detail in the description. If we’d known, we likely would have opted for two of their hotel rooms instead.

Nice treed campsites with full R V hookups. Restrooms spotless. Paddle boating and lots of family activities. We were there mid Oct weekend and total hoot. They celebrate Boo Fest for 5 weekends beginning last weekend of Sept. Lots of decorations and tons of little ones. We arrived after trick or treat time gratefully because otherwise we would have been a trick stop without candy !

The staff was amazing. Warm welcome and guidance. Our water supply was found to have burst late in the day. We check with the store and they were out. It is late in the season so we understood. I asked one of the maintenance crew where the nearest hardware was since the resort is out in the country. He offered to let us use one of the sites hoses which we gratefully accepted. Nice people, great service and a nice level site.

Visited on the off season. Secured a super site & we had a good size private yard (S-17) There’s a lot of potential here. This place could be fabulous! Pros: staff was kind & helpful, our spot had plenty of room, you can receive packages, short drive to modern convinces. Laundry is available $3 to wash $2+ to dry. The surrounding area is beautiful! Lots of wildlife. Cons: some of my Amazon packages were delivered to a building that isn’t occupied (I had to retrieve it on my own), the office wasn’t staffed at advertised hours. Wifi is available but not all that great EVEN if you pay for it. Which we did. All in all 4/5 stars. Perhaps the resort could post a sign that will bring all packages to the office. The office not being staffed wasn’t a huge inconvenience (it’s the off season I get it) but we did have a concern with a septic safe alarm was ringing ALL night, it would’ve helped to have an after hours number OR a camp host. When we called during office hours (the following morning) no one picked up. Eventually someone came to turn the alarm off. THANK GOODNESS FOR THEM. Is this a resort? No, not in my opinion. But was this an enjoyable stay? Overall yes. It could have a resort like feel with some upgrades & fixes.

We arrived and was given a horrible site ( our fault for picking it). My wife asked about new spot and was given one. That night we lost power at our site, which came back on a short time later. The next day the whole electric box stop working so we informed the staff. Our electric issue was fixed immediately. I noticed that the staff works non stop. The spots are tight but the camp atmosphere makes it worth it.

We have stayed here for the last 4 camping seasons at least one weekend each. Our teenagers liked the many options at the park. New owners have taken it over. Seems like they are making a few changes and hopefully updating an older “resort”. One change we definitely were not thrilled about is the cost of the go carts. A huge benefit for campers that were already paying a premium to camp was a reasonably priced day or weekend pass for the carts. Rides are now $8 and $10 depending on the track. That gets expensive quick, especially with multiple kids. Perhaps the new owners could look at offering campers a reasonable day pass since they are also paying to stay, eat, shop, etc. $20 was definitely too cheap for the pass before, but $35-$40 would be reasonable for a day of go carting at a campground and seems fair. The weather was crummy the weekend we visited but the day the big drift bikes could have been open they weren’t. Our teens were here specifically for those and were disappointed. Overall it is a unique place and worth visiting. We may give the owners a chance to make some updates and hopefully more reasonable price changes on go carts before returning. Fishing and putt putt are included and a nice addition to the camping stay. We enjoyed the nice trees, lakes, space and size of the park.

My son stayed at this campground for an extended stay while working out of state. He stayed at a full hook-up RV site. We went to visit him and were so impressed with everything. It has so much to offer. Places to fish, beautiful property, go-carts, mini golf, bumper boats, a pool, and a snack shack to grab a snack. The pizza from there was awesome! Staff was always SUPER helpful and friendly and always took the time to help us with whatever we needed. They always had a smile on their faces and were eager to help. We loved that it had a place for him to do his laundry since he was there on an extended stay. We were there over Memorial Day weekend and they had a parade with the golf carts that drove around the campground. We loved it. If you take your kids here and they are bored, they just don’t want to do anything because it has so much to do. Would definitely recommend this campground for anyone wanting a place to stay while in KY.

This was our first time to Owensboro/Kentucky. We loved the resort. Not a far drive from downtown activities, but remote enough that the views, and peaceful country side is well established. This campground has lots of beautiful ponds, and surrounding scenery. The amenities are really nice with the pool, go-kart track, store, and other fun things to do while staying. I will say, we barely had enough time to check these out but look forward to a return trip. We will be back.

We stayed in a motel room for 2 nights. It was super clean and we were very comfortable. The resort is well kept. We were there for Customer Appreciation Day. Food was excellent and I found a new band to follow. Dan Hall and his band were great! We enjoyed touring the new campers from Owensboro RV also. Nice to look around and not be bothered by a sales pitch. All in all it was a very nice weekend :)

I'm sure the this was a nice park in it hayday. As of June 2025, the facilities and maintenance are a little run down. Showers did not work in our section. Website makes it seem nicer than it actually is. On a positive note, the staff were very friendly and helpful.
