I would give this park 5 stars if they would weed eat around the RV park like they do the rest of the amenities. We have stayed here twice prior to this stay and loved it. We loved it this time were it not for the waste high weeds. We have never been given a code to the restrooms so I cannot comment on that and the security gate never closes at night either. I guess that is a good thing because we don’t get that code to renter either.
Great RV campground with some improvements in progress. No hosts at campground. There is a key pad gate being installed. Reservations handled by the Reserve America app. There are 26 sites with full hookup. Some sites have hookups in the wrong location. I have stayed here 3 times.
Great park with full hookups. If you are traveling north/south this is a great easy spot to stop. We got a reservation at 5:00pm on a Saturday night. A definite stop for race fans as the campground is nestled in part of the old Augusta international speedway- great hike around the 3 mile road course. Update: spots 2-9 are not level and you will likely need a good amount of leveling. 10-25 are very level. They have showers but you need a code so we couldn’t get in.
It was amazing! Spent two weeks there and had a very relaxing time. The rainy nights kept me from hanging out by the fire, but that’s ok. The sounds of the frogs and crickets were a great substitute. Richmond County Deputy’s do regular patrols around the area, so I felt very safe being there by myself. The lots are spaced kinda far apart, and there are privacy trees between quite a few of them. I’m referring to the back loop, Not so much the front loop. That one is very open. There’s fishing, tent areas, full hookups, and a nice bathhouse. It’s located at a regional park with softball fields, basketball courts, pavilions, walking/biking trails, a library and a recreation center. Keep in mind that it’s still in the city, so there’s the occasional fire truck that zooms by. But besides that, there’s so much stuff nearby also... convenient stores, grocery stores, auto shops, restaurants, and my absolute favorite laundromat! All right up the street at the main intersection! I enjoyed that the most. It’s a great campground location if you’re just starting out, and aren’t used to be in the middle of nowhere yet, like me. I enjoyed my stay, but will not be returning to LOT #17. It’s terribly uneven. It took way too much work just to level my camper, and emptying my tanks were a real pain in the... back. Never again. The rest of the lots are way better than the one I had. Just remember that.
Quiet and calm place...all utilities are included and the service of the manager is excellent!!! Bathrooms are combination coded and are very clean and well stocked. The manager is only a phone call or a text away. Perfect place for a relax stop!!
