Discover Camping Introduce

Discover Camping is listed under the platform category of Campgrounds & RV Parks and has a listed address at 1166 Alberni St, Vancouver, BC V6E 3Z3, Canada. It appears to be a service that facilitates the booking of campsites, although specific details about individual campground environments, services, and features are not provided in the available information. The focus of the provided reviews is primarily on the booking process and customer service aspects of the platform itself, rather than on specific campgrounds bookable through it.

Based on recent customer feedback, users have reported significant difficulties and frustrations with the Discover Camping booking system. One reviewer described trying to book sites as a "nightmare." Specific issues mentioned include website programming logic that prevents booking desired combinations of nights, particularly over long weekends. For example, there were instances where the system required a three-night booking (Friday to Sunday), but if Sunday was already booked, it prevented booking Friday and Saturday.

Customer service experiences, based on the provided reviews, have been overwhelmingly negative. One user who called the provided phone number encountered an "apathetic person" who allegedly provided incorrect information about booking procedures and showed no interest in assisting. Another customer detailed a lengthy and unresolved issue involving a booking error, repeated unsuccessful attempts to rectify it through customer service, incorrect cancellations, and being charged for phone calls made to resolve website errors. This customer expressed extreme disappointment, stating that "customer service is an understatement" and wishing they could give zero stars.

The reviews suggest that local users considering Discover Camping for booking campgrounds and RV parks should be aware of potential challenges with the online booking system and may encounter difficulties with customer service if issues arise. There is no information provided about specific campground environments, services, features, or promotional offers available through this platform. Therefore, it is advisable for users to exercise caution and potentially seek additional information or alternative booking platforms before making reservations through Discover Camping.

Trying to book sites is a nightmare. long weekend have to book Fri-Sun night. somehow Sunday night was already booked so guessing they booked longer and cancelled before Sunday. unable to book Fri/Sat because of bad programming logic on website saying you have to book all 3 nights but Sunday already booked. couldn't book Fri/Sat. called their phone # and got a quite apathetic person who tried to claim it was first come first serve site even though website clearly showed it wasn't. person had zero interest to help us. later we found the Fri and Sat got booked up by someone. not sure how or just got someone helpful to do it at their call center. side needs better logic programming and company needs to hire better people.

Really disappointed with the customer service is an understatement. If I could give zero stars I would. I made a reservation during a peak time so accidentally booked one campsite wrong. When I tried to cancel part of the reservation online I got an error so I called in and they also couldn't cancel my reservation so said they would raise it to their IT team. They told me to call back a week later. I kept calling back a week later and they said the same thing - call back a week later. I did this 5 times. Over a month past and I finally I got an email with an invoice for a refund for a cancelled campsite. However, they'd cancelled the part of the reservation that I wanted to keep and charged me for calling in even though there was an error with their website which prevented me from doing it online. I called in and they said sorry we made a mistake but there's nothing we can do now because that campsite is now fully booked. I asked what they could do to make up for it and they said absolutely nothing - no extra refund, not even the extra call charge - absolutely nothing!! I've tried to call back several times to dispute it and they give me the same answer. They are also still unable to cancel the part of my reservation that I actually want to cancel and have raised it to their IT team at least 5 times. They tell me every time to call back a week later but every time nothing has progressed. It's now been 2 months and they still haven't been able to resolve the error or give me my refund.

Boy does this site need an overhaul. Terrible is putting it lightly! I have tried numerous times at numerous parks and experience difficulty booking a site every time! We get on at the 7:00am start up time and get kicked out or locked up constantly and then sites are booked like 5 seconds after 7:00. So then we need to sign up again only to find all open sites are already booked! There has to be a better way to allow site booking. People book holidays in advance only to find they can’t get into a selected provincial park. What a hassle!

The awful aspects to this system and it's staff outnumber the good by an incredible margin. Booking website is glitchy, unintuitive, and provides the booking person no clarity on how it works. Each time I have called their phone number, the representative has been monotone (if able to be heard at all), rude, and seem to not comprehend how the discover camping bookings work

This is the worst booking system of all time. The old booking system was far superior. This ‘new’ system is actually garbage. It glitches every time I’m on it, which is very often, and it’s seriously user ‘unfriendly’ as it’s really difficult to navigate and you have to manually re-enter your info every minute or so. They must have opted for the bargain basement web design for this one. Bad idea.
