We were very fortunate to be placed in the new renovated side of Bay Lake Tower. Wow. It reminds us of the Disneyland Villas in CA. Very well done. Everything in the Room is pretty much prefect. This is a room that you can be comfortable in for a 5-7 day trip without clawing at the walls. Gorgeous view of Bay Lake as well. Exceptional service as well.
Disney's Contemporary Resort is one of the premier luxury resorts located on the Walt Disney World Premises, with a connection to the monorail delivering people directly to the transportation hub, the other luxury resorts, as well as Disney's Magic Kingdom. The Contemporary hosts a wide range of restaurants, amenities, and rooms for guests visiting the park or Orlando area. The rooms are quite spacious, with a wide range of amenities and services provided. Room service comes around most days, and they clean the room well, and even brighten the experience for younger children by playing around with any stuffed animals left in the room. The restaurants are good. Chef Mickey's is hosted here, which contains a character dining buffet that is perfect for all ages. There is also quick service convenience available, where people are able to refill their refillable cups at most hours of the day. The monorail goes directly through the main portion of the hotel, but it is quiet enough that it doesn't cause a commotion when in the rooms. There is also connecting taxis and car services available outside the park. The hotel is a bit on the older side, but they have kept it up and made it modern to the best of their ability. It is perfect for a large family trip or honeymoon to the parks.
I would give more stars of I could! The incredible staff/cast members are beyond happy and helpful. The room was spacious, and the bed was by far the most comfortable I've ever slept on in a hotel. The monorail was super convenient to get to the Magic Kingdom, and the bus to Hollywood Studios was fast and easy, too. We had a reservation to have dinner at the restaurant on the roof. The service was second to none. I'm still dreaming about the filet. It was so good! Also, if you time it right, you can walk out onto the balcony and watch the fireworks over Cinderella's Castle.
It's definitely my favorite Disney hotel. While the room is not noticeably better than some of the moderate resorts we've stayed in the bathroom Definitely is an upgrade with a large tub and double sinks. The view, location and transportation options are also unbeatable in my opinion. Plus when our daughter got sick the last night the staff were incredibly helpful. Housekeeping were absolute angels, the front desk helped us keep the room another night and offered assistance with rearranging transportation. They also sent up a treat for our daughter.
Good hotel except don't miss your bus. Came for dinner because I love their Patty Melt Sandwich. Arrived too late, their restaurant was closed, the bus wasn't operating until the morning, and then Anthony from Disney Security came and didn't want to assist. All they will do is have Ken, the security manager, print up a voucher for a taxi and dump you at a McDonald's at U.S.192 Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway. If you ask to be taken anywhere else, all the security manager will say is "Negative."
