We picked the last spot in a loop and it was a great choice! Clean restrooms and there are showers. The grounds are close to Doane Pond and a short drive to a general store. We had a great stay a hope to return soon.

Nice campgrounds. Flushable toilets. Water faucets at camp sites. Hot showers are coin-operated. Plan to buy wood at the ranger station or at the nearby store. We saw several bird species and some squirrels. The fish were also biting at the lake. Bring bug protection... spray, mess, zappers etc. We plan to stay again!
We came on a Tuesday and stayed one night. We really enjoyed it since there were very few other campers. There are lots of hiking trails. We went past the pond to the Thunder Springs. The next day we did the Doane Valley Nature Trail to Weir trail and back towards French valley. It is fairly easy hiking. Our two year old did it just fine. The campground includes a fire pit, grill, table, storage cabinets and running water. The host sells firewood for $6. Overall it's a very clean site but there was some confetti from leftovers from the 4th of July.
