Dodge City Campground and Cabin Rentals

Such a quiet and beautiful place tucked in the mountains. This is my 3rd time staying here and my husband’s 2nd time. (June, August and now October of 2024). I came here alone the first time because my husband was hiking a section of the Sheltowee Trace Challenge. I felt completely safe during my stay and questions annswered and accommodations were great. We have since come back to Dodge City Campground for him to complete a section and just enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra night in the tent. It’s a perfect place to stay while hiking the Sheltowee as it’s only a few miles from the trail. What do I like about this place? Family owned and operated, safe, peaceful setting with lots of trees and open spaces. And a pond with a little dock to sit or fish. Although we didn’t fish this time the pond has been stocked. Oh and a friendly pup named Roscoe we found immediately lovable. This is truly a dream in the making and I can see improvements every time I have come. I so enjoy getting to hear people’s stories and seeing their dreams unfold. Dodge City Campground is a hidden gem. I highly recommend.

What an amazing weekend getaway right here in our own back yard just across town. Dodge City Campground did NOT disappoint. We were greeted by the owners and right from the get go we felt like we were best friends and knew each other for years. I highly recommend you not to visit them if you don’t like a relaxing atmosphere, and want to have a wonderful time. Do they have concrete sidewalks, tons of street lights, security patrols etc. no. However they have down to earth owners who care about their guests, they have a nice pond that you can fish, swim, kayak in, they have trails made through the woods that kids can go and be kids and you don’t have to worry about someone trying to do them harm or persuade them into mischief. Dewey N Luckissa are both wonderful people and have an amazing family. Their little ones took Hunter just as one of them and from the first night when we arrived until we left we felt right at home.

Very nice, family-ran, and family-friendly, quiet campground. We stayed in a camper a few days in April. It was very clean. It got a little chilly at night, but we found extra blankets in the closet. The view of the pond outside the window was really pretty. The owners showed us the inside of the little cabin. It was also very clean and very cute! I hope to stay here again and I highly recommend. Update: Yes, we stayed warm. Thank you!

Dewey and his wife were so nice . Even though they were full Dewey made sure we had a spot for the night and made us feel welcome. It was a peaceful place and we slept better then we had slept in a long time. If you want a quiet senic place to stay not far from the highway I recommend Dodge City campground ! THANKS DEWEY !!!!!!!

Absolutely love this place. We rented a site for 2 weeks but now that the 2 weeks are up we went ahead and paid for 2 more months. Everyone here is so friendly, acts more like family than anything. They go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. They have a beautiful pond, that you can fish in. The space between the rvs gives plenty of privacy. If you don't have a camper, that's ok too, they rent them out by the night ot by the week. So grab your pole and experience what camping should be like. This has become my favorite place. They have a place for the kiddos to play, picnic tables and boats around the fishing pond...
