Love this place the campground is large and has plenty of sites. Nice quiet, beach easy access from the freeway. A walk down towards the visitor center is the area where they have live music every weekend evening. Bathrooms are clean with running hot water and showers
My stay here was fantastic. The beaches were beautiful, and bathrooms were cleaned every morning along with the trash. Campsites are pretty close to each other and there's a few trains that run through the night that may wake you up but in all it's completely worth it. Each campsite had a concrete picnic table and a fire pit. I loved my stay and can't wait to go back!
We had a great time at Doheny SB Campground! Sites are close, but manage to have some privacy. We stayed in a site where part is actually on the sand!….including the fire ring…so it’s like having an old fashioned campfire on the beach! So much fun! Be sure to read the particulars of each site before choosing, regulations can differ. Dogs are welcome to camp ~ our 2 had a great time! 🐾🐾 They’re not allowed down onto the “beach”, but had paws in the sand right in our own camp! Perfect! Bathrooms were clean and stocked the entire time. Campground seemed well kept. Look forward to coming back!!
This is an awesome camping site with the beach right next to it, which is a huge plus. However, the railroad is also close by, and it gets really noisy, even in the middle of the night. Additionally, rodents tend to run around the campsite after dark, which can be a bit of a nuisance.
My family and I have been going to Doheny State Beach campgrounds for over 5 years.. The campgrounds are always clean, along with the restrooma and showers. Security patrols the campgrounds once an hour, 24/7 so you feel safe. I recommend anyone come visit for at least one night or more.
