Beautiful spot. But it's always been irksome that the "Leaving NC" sign is incorrect. Several miles north, just after Jones Falls and right as you approach the Elk River the first time, you go back into North Carolina for a short bit, and then you turn up the Elk and leave the state for good Why the sign is in the wrong place is bizarre.
