Customer Reviews
The campground and campsites themselves are lovely, centred around a small lake beautifully surrounded by mountains. It's very easy to access from the bike trail. The price is a bit high but not super out there, and I can't fault the amenities, though I do think charging $1 for a shower is a bit much. However, the entry point ressembles nothing so much as the check in point for a detention centre, and there are a really excessive number of rules and regulations. I went to bed too early to see the famous 11 PM police patrols, but considering all adult campers are supposed to wear ID bracelets at all times, the idea doesn't surprise me. Anyway, the campsites really are beautiful and there's a lot to do, so if you don't mind camping at a place run by a bunch of aspiring dictators, go for it.
Bathrooms are DANK AND GROSS. Very poor lighting and ventilation. Cabin is over-priced. The chimney stack wasn't supported properly which meant there was no slope - forcing the smoke back into our cabin.
This was our first camping with our new RV and our first time at camping Lausanne. I was a bit scared at first reading all the reviews but it ended up being great. Camp site was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. There's a good size dog park and they have a pet friendly area on the beach so we didnt have to leave our dogs in the camper. We had a little problem with emptying our black water tank and notified the staff right away. They were really friendly and helpful. Yes it is a little on the expensive side compared to other campings but this would not stop me from coming back. I don't understand why people are complaining about the police patrol. They just drive around slowly, if you are not there to cause trouble i don't see why it would bother you. Yes there's a curfew at 11pm and your fire must be out by then but we were ok with that. People should read the camp rules before renting and it wouldn't be a surprise. The roads were fine no potholes. All in all a great place and will definitely come back.
Amazing camping. Great food truck. Not sure if the fries were supposed to taste like a churro but it was a 10/10! Will do again
It's our first time here and we've discovered a little piece of paradise! We stayed in a small cabin that was just perfect for sleeping; equipped w A/C, a bunk bed, a queen size and a mini fridge! We also fronted on a small private beach that had a slow slope and sandy bottom; perfect for the kids. The main beach area is beautiful and we absolutely LOVED the convenience of renting kayaks and paddle boards at a very low cost. The whole campground is well maintained and very friendly. My only area of feedback would be that the majority of the sites near the water and beach are smaller and not super private. We were located on the main road and it was a higher traffic area. We can't wait to come back and try another site. Choosing the cabin saved us bringing and installing a tent as well as kept our food cool! We highly recommend! Ps: there's even a super delicious food truck!
