Dosewallips State Park Campground Introduce
Located in Brinnon, Washington, Dosewallips State Park Campground offers a welcoming environment for local camping and RV enthusiasts, as well as those seeking cabin accommodations. As a part of the Campgrounds & RV Parks category, this destination provides a range of options for enjoying the outdoors.
Environment: The campground is described as a great place to camp, full of families enjoying campfires under the stars. For tent campers seeking more privacy, the outer edge of the campsites is recommended as it is nestled within forest areas, though this may come with slightly more traffic. The overall atmosphere is reported to be quiet, with a host who keeps watch over the campground. Notably, the area is known for a local herd of elk that sometimes roams through the campground, offering a unique wildlife viewing opportunity. The location also allows for excellent stargazing.
Services: The campground offers cabin rentals that are well-equipped. The cabins can accommodate families, with features such as a separate room (important for those who snore), a Murphy bed in the living area, and a queen/twin bunk bed in the bedroom. Cabins provide ample space, heat, a fan in the living area, a dining table, cook prep areas, a patio, a fire pit, a bench, and a picnic table. Some cabins are equipped with air conditioning. The lighting in at least some cabins has been updated to LED with options for warm or cool tones, and there are plenty of outlets for charging devices. The employees and camp host are consistently described as extremely friendly and accommodating.
Features: Dosewallips State Park Campground boasts a few walking trails within its boundaries, offering opportunities for leisurely exploration. The availability of cabins with various amenities caters to those seeking a more comfortable camping experience. The campground is highlighted as family-friendly, fostering a community atmosphere. The chance to see local elk roaming freely is a significant attraction for nature lovers. Furthermore, the clear night skies provide excellent conditions for stargazing.
Important Considerations: While the cabins are well-appointed, the mattresses are noted to be standard campground style, which might be firm for some individuals. Visitors with sensitivities may want to bring a thin inflatable mattress for added comfort. Tent campers should be aware that the outer edge campsites, while more private, may experience more traffic.

Extremely friendly and accommodating employees and camp host! We got a cabin for 4 days with a separate room, which was very important for snoring. Murphy bed in the living area and queen/twin bunk bed in the bedroom. Lots of space, heat, fan in living area, dining table, cook prep areas, patio, fire pit, bench, and picnic table. Some cabins do have AC. Ours has updated LED lights with warm or cool lighting. Plenty of outlets for charging. The mattresses are standard camp ground style, so old bodies might consider a thin inflatable mattress to go on top. It really helped me. I was also pleasantly surprised we were able to get photos of stars here. Images are from my phone, but my husband got even better shots with his digital camera. A few walking trails are within the campground. For tent camping, I recommend the outer edge of the campsite vs the circle campsites. The outer edge is nestled within forest areas for more privacy, but does come with more traffic. We have had no issues with noises here and the host keeps check on everything going on. I would 100% stay again!
Great place to camp full of families. Camp fires under the stars. Local heard of elk roaming the campground.
What a great campground right off the highway! Plenty of trails and river access to keep you busy. Staff has been super friendly, which to me matters walking around. Sites are roomy and well kept. Facilities are kept super spotless. Well done !
Great campground. But you NEVER see any rangers
Nice campground. Clean Bathrooms and showers. Mostly sunny open spots, not much privacy. Burn ban was on so no campfires. We did use a propane firepit that we bought along. The river was a good place to cool off. Nearby Rocky Falls was pretty and Walker Point on a clear day.
