Bathrooms were great. They were clean and nice hot water pressure. Lots of activities in the campground to do if you have children to entertain. The sites seemed close together. There was no privacy from other campers. A big negative was I-55. You could hear the highway noise all night long.
Great, clean RV Park. Very well maintained. Staff is very nice. Sites are long & fit our 45’ 5th wheel & truck without any problem. Sites aren’t private & rather small in width, but there’s lots of amenities. Nice dog park area with a section for large dogs & a separate one for small dogs. Full hookups too. We stay there on the way to other campgrounds & it’s great for overnight stops for big rigs. It’s right off I-55 too & there’s no overpasses to worry about.
Great place and great people! We stayed here for a few months and loved it. They’re very accommodating, we called last minute for a two month stay and they were able to get us in the next day. We also had to extend our stay a few times and they were very helpful with that as well. They have a little c store full of drinks, snacks, and camping supplies. The employees and owners are very nice. If I had to complain I’d say the grass is kept a touch long, but otherwise everything was perfect. The WiFi is as promised, good enough to map your next destination and minimal use so that is another thing to take note of. Otherwise it is a really nice place!! Highly recommend!!
The Double J Campground and RV Park is our 161st stop and we stayed for 7 nights. The interaction with the owners at the time of making reservations, changing reservations and checking in were all very positive. Although just off the service road of the highway, the noise is not bad and drops off at sunset. The first thing noticed is the interior road and pad was gravel - great coverage and no dust, makes the park more appealing and makes leveling a breeze. It is clean and well-maintained. There is a security gate that requires a pass with a bar code scan. The main portion of the park has a grove of mature trees which provides great coverage from the summer sun and is nestled between farm fields. The amenities for families are many with a mini-golf course, go kart track, pool and more. The dog park is sizable (2 sections) and they have mowed a great walking trail in a field in the back of the park. All in all, really like this park and would rate a 4.6 and would definitely stay here again in the future. One of our favorite mom and pop owned parks so far in our travels. Connectivity (8:00 am): Park WiFi 6.60 down/0.63 up; Verizon 42.7 down/6.59 up; T-Mobile 11.5 down/2.10 up.
This place is fun and great I've went with my grandparents multiple times and it's always fun the Late night fires are the best part. Only thing I wish is that the had more channels.
