Doublehead Resort

Definitely a place I'd recommend! Appears every site had boat docks and an main boat launch that is near all cottages! Very rustic country feel housing.

My girlfriend and I booked a cabin for Memorial Day weekend. I haven’t even heard of this resort. It was awesome!! The pool area was so clean and very well maintained. The cabin was clean and cozy . The grounds were very well maintained and clean . Fishing off the dock was exciting. Definitely would recommend to anyone seeking a private getaway.

What a gem tucked out in country. We found this place a few years ago and stayed for last 3-4 yrs. My husband & children absolutely love Doublehead. The cabins are the same layout…but the owners put their own touches and mark on their own cabins. Some have an older rustic flare, others completely updated. We have stayed in both and there all clean, well stocked and comfortable. We love the huge pool & waterfall. We rent the golf carts, bring our bikes and ride the 3 mile trail every morning. If you are looking for peace and quiet, rest and relaxation this is perfect! The staff is very accommodating and friendly as well.

Be aware, some things have changed! We’ve been here with family 3 times before and had a great time. Some of the property is a little run down, but it’s part of the laid back feel. As a previous person reviewed, this is no longer a resort with boat rental, skeet shooting, and golf cart and kayak rentals (If there still is, we can’t find it). It’s an HOA with VRBO rentals and a community pool. It’s still basically the same, but when my husband walked up to what he thought was and used to be the rental office he was informed rather rudely that “We only sell real estate here.” When asked how do we rent a pontoon boat, the woman pointed to a sign and said “Call that number.” We did, no one answered. This was at 9:30 on Saturday morning…no answer, no voicemail. It’s still a relaxing “fish camp” type of place to go, but not the same previous amenities.

I have really enjoyed staying here with my family. Its very peaceful. The pool is awesome. The air tore up and got it fixed right away. The staff has been very helpful. The only downfall is the WiFi isn't good at all. Especially if you need to do some work. If you want to spend time on the beach area, no way. Its dirty. The sand part and the water area needs to be cleaned. But the pool made up for it. Really enjoyed it. A great getaway.
