We had a wonderful weekend trip to Oak Ridge. Amber at the front desk was very friendly and professional. Burchfields was delicious for breakfast and dinner. Our room was clean and spacious. The heated pool was probably our favorite part. Highly recommend and we look forward to staying here again.
Without a doubt, the best part of staying here was the people. To be frank I would rank the personal service and the kind conversations as some of the best in all the hotel stays I’ve had. The rooms were the same as every double tree I’ve stayed at across the US-average but provided a comfortable stay. The breakfast is not complimentary with all stay packages, but I was able to get it with mine and I was very impressed with the food. Definitely above par for hotel food. The pool was heated and heavily chlorinated. A cool feature was how it was both an indoor and outdoor connecting pool. I’d bet that would be fun during the colder months. The gym was small and oddly located on the third floor. But still suitable for a hotel gym. Overall a very pleasant stay and I would stay here again.
They have such a great staff. Check in was seamless, and when we had issues with our keys on the second night they had new keys made right away. The pool was closed our second morning and when we asked if it would be open the kind maintenance man opened it up and finished cleaning it so my kiddos could get their last swim in. Finally, I ended up forgetting my make up bag and important medication in the room. I called and spoke to the night shift front desk agent and they found it and had a solution to get it back to Wisconsin for me within 10 mins and ready to ship out the next day. Kind people are hard to find in customer service most time but the people here were top notch. Thank you guys for everything. ❤️
I’ve stayed at this Doubletree for years. Think this is my last visit. The staff are great, the bar/restaurant are good. The hotel itself is dated and most basic entities are broken. I fixed the sink during my visit in August, the toilet wouldn’t flush this visit nor did half the electrical outlets. Ceilings are stained and look multicolored, the floor hadn’t been vacuumed, molding is coming off the walls. This decline was noticeable over the last couple years but seems to have accelerated recently. I’m surprised Hilton still claims ownership of this property.
Over all not the nicest hotel but a decent one. Stayed while I was helping with some hurricane clean up. The past couple weeks only complain was the cleaning ladies smelling of weeed and when I went to leave they were outside smoking with children walking by
