This property is recently renovated and shares the lobby with the Ellie. The rooms were modern and clean, and the restaurant had a good breakfast menu. Super kudos to Denise 2.0 and Carrie for an excellent front desk experience. Some parts of the hotel are still in need of renovation--I think it is a work in progress. The elevators are a bit dated, as are the indoor pools. Some of the landscaping is not complete yet. We did enjoy the gaming area, with billiards, ping ping, corn hole and life sized bowling. We also played the mini-golf course across the street (included with the resort). The gaming area could use some TLC and so could the mini golf--hopefully, these are part of the continuing renovation. Overall, we had a very nice experience here and would return again.

Stayed at this property for a few days before heading to Savannah. The property is ocean front and is pretty well maintained considering the elements. The rooms were spacious and the air conditioning worked well. Our particular room had a great view and every time we needed something the staff was very helpful and prompt with their delivery. The only consistent issue that I saw is they had a difficult time keeping the towels at the pool stocked - which seems like an easy fix. Overall a great experience and wonderful location to stay.

I can't say enough about this establishment. It is one of the few places you can determine where check-in is located. As soon as I arrived the staff was there to assist me. Gentleman assisted me to the elevator and to the desk to be assisted with check-in. Every staff member I came in contact with was a "happy employee"! That is so rare! Every concern I had was resolved effortlessly. I loved every moment of my stay! Parking is located under your building. The elevator requires your key card to enter from the ground floor. That was a nice safety feature. My room was fresh and clean! Not dated. Beautiful resort! Access to the Pier with a great little bar is included. Again, happy staff! Efficient! The fish tacos served there were so fresh!!! Great views while you eat! It's Poppin in there! Beach access is provided in multiple places from the resort. Even the Horry County Beach Patrol is constantly present. I am a solo elderly traveler I felt safe the entire time. On the Beach and at the Resort.

I normally only leave positive reviews, but I feel this is needed. Address takes you behind a building to a dumpster. You park your car only to have to search for registration, no instructions, wander around until you find it. Found it, I booked an ocean front room (and paid more for it) only to check in and the lady very clearly told me it was a partial view to confirm. I told her I paid extra for an ocean view, not partial, her response was “you booked a king bedroom which is a partial view, if you’d like an ocean view we have suites available”. Why would I pay more when I already paid more for the ocean view (you can select partial ocean or ocean view on the Hilton website)? Whatever, got a 15 second run down of the map. I asked her if I could get to my room from the lobby, “yes go through the frosted doors to your right”. Great. Had to go back out to put my parking pass on my car, headed back in. Went down the hall, elevator third floor takes you to the ballroom. Go back down. Take the stairs up two flights, somehow now on the 5th floor. Go back down to try the other elevator, doesn’t work. Had to call and talk to a gentleman at the front desk, thankfully who was helpful. Get to my room, can barely see any ocean. Patio door is busted and not secure. Not to mention I booked at double tree, somehow my app changed an I’m now at the Ellis. I arrived at 9 pm in the winter, no reason to not have time to walk through what to do. Terrible communication, very confusing, scam. As everyone said, they charge extra when you arrive as ‘incidentals’. I don’t recommend. Go down the street, they care.

Let me start with they took $318.80 from me during check in, and was told I would get it back. It's been 3 weeks and nothing has been returned. The maid service was terrible. They showed up twice in our week stay. Once our first day at 8AM when we had a late flight in and then 3 days later they came at 6PM while we were eating dinner. I had to take out my own trash, track down towels to replace mine. The room was a weird layout, with the sinks outside of the bathroom. which is fine, but that means you have dirty hands when you leave the bathroom. And after what I went through, you just know the maids aren't wiping down those door knobs. The carts the employees use are super loud going down the hallways.
