Just enough off the main roads to feel “far out” but still around some people so you feel safe! Camping spots fill fast, the creek and falls and very busy even on weekdays, if you want a good spot to lay out you’ll need to go to the creek early in the morning!

This is an extremely magical place to go to. The river and falls are very beautiful but when you tie in a walk into the woods.... WOW!!!! If you're lucky you will find the hidden Hobbit house someone built. Very creative.

This is a very awesome camp ground for family and friends, there was a fantastic camp post but they unfortunately have left and there is no longer a post. The river is amazing, there's plenty of fun to be had down there. There are about 10 camping spots, ranging from small to big, and there are some spots you can put trailers, boats, and RV's.

A little gem not far from the city. Free, fcfs camping with your discover pass. Open year round! Camp host, Ed, was incredibly welcoming and friendly . Several bathrooms on site, the one we used was well maintained. Mid fall , only one other campsite was occupied. Summer is nearly impossible to get a spot, but well worth trying. We will be back as much as possible!!
