Really nice campground within driving distance of many good hiking spots! There were plenty of spots available when we showed up and you can park and pay for however long you're staying, only $10 per day. The bathrooms and showers were really clean and well lit! You just need to get the door code from campground host, who was very helpful. Each spot has a picnic table, bear box, and a fire pit. There's access to the river right on the campgrounds, and you can hear the water from just about everywhere!

BLM campground located on the Trinity river. $10 per night /$5 night with America National Parks pass or Senior Agency card. There are water spigots throughout camp, multiple dumpsters, 2 flushing toilet buildings and a locking door hot shower building (yay!) Each spot has a picnic table and firepit/grill combo with a bear lock box. So many beaches right next to camp to enjoy. Kids were floating the river from one side to the other around the camp. Grounds are clean, the whole camp is paved for driving, many can handle bigger RVs up to 35' or so. Overall a great find! I updated the location as this is NOT in the adjacent trailer park.

Great campground with access to the river and a nice little swimming hole. Very clean bathrooms and showers. Now for the bad part. We were just there this weekend and found a couple of nice spots. All was well until evening, when the place was invaded by a group of rafters and their children. This group clearly started drinking and at about 10:30 PM really started to get loud. I mean REALLY loud! This went on for hours. Whooping, laughing, yelling and exchanging inappropriate insults that the children in our group could clearly hear. Saturday night was a repeat of the same but louder. I know people go camping to let loose a bit and have fun. I'm all for it but this was like camping next to a frat house for two nights. The campground host did nothing to curtail this behavior which is really disappointing. He should have given a stern warning and then booted this group of entitled A-holes out! For that reason, it only gets 2 stars.

Tent camped here 1 night on a late-June 2023 motorcycle tour through the area. Developed & operated by US BLM. Right beside the river. Well-maintained campground and facilities, including the restrooms/showers. Flush toilets, potable water system. Showers are free, clean & hot but you must first obtain from the campground host the current combination for the shower entry doors. Note the steep (paved) access road down to the campground. With my Senior Parks Pass, the fee was $5 per night (for 1 vehicle). BTW, it appeared that no utility hookups are available for RVs.

Very nice, small campground with flushing toilets, showers and potable water on the beautiful Trinity River. Quiet, beautiful surroundings, nice sites, and very clean. The camp host is real friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back.
