Customer Reviews
The rooms themselves were rustic cabins. They came fully furnished with most of the things we needed - we had to buy a hand soap because it just had bar soap. It was fairly clean - what you'd expect if you've stayed in a wooden cabin before. We loved leaving the windows open overnight (in May). We listened to the rain as we fell asleep and woke up to the birds singing. It was an excellent location from which to explore downtown Gettysburg and window shop in the stores. The staff were very friendly and helpful with checkin and checkout. We went as a couple this time but could easily see bringing the kids next time.
Nicely wooded, older campground. Good proximity to Gettysburg Military Park. We were in a pull-through RV site, which was fine. Two out of three restroom stalls were out of order. Did not use the showers. Laundry facility could have been cleaner; I swept the floor myself with the broom that was there. One washer out of three was out of order.
This weekend was my first time RV camping. The company that I work for sent me and my kids here to experience the lifestyle I help everyone else have, for the first time and it was so fun! The campground was clean and maintained very well, the bath houses were clean and the sites were great. As a newbie experiencing it for the first time I did not feel overwhelmed. My only “complaint “ and I use quotes because it was no one’s fault but I did not act quick enough to rent a golf cart! My site was 1/2 mile from the office/general store, where the mini golf, store and the reptile show was. So needless to say I got a lot of exercise LOL!! Also, shout out to the assistant manager for helping us out in a pinch and going above and beyond with the customer service, it was very much appreciated!!! We can’t wait to come back!
Stayed 1 week. Park is rustic however even with all the trees, we were able to get satellite. Dumpsters could use an extra pickup. Staff was friendly and helpful. The price was fair given it's immediate proximity to Gettysburg. We would stay here again.
Updating my review about that cancellation policy. When I canceled do to rain it wasn’t the drummer boy camping resort I was talking to, it was a call center. I wasn’t happy with only getting $49 of my $255 back, so I rescheduled for a later date. I still wasn’t very happy about that either because of fees. I just got a call from the drummer boy resort and it’s not gonna cost me anything to reschedule for a later date. They were also very nice and apologized. Definitely wasn’t expecting that, thanks Guys your awesome.
