This place use to be great. Now too many people have found this hidden Jem. I Don’t mind the side by sides. Just everyone wants to ride on the dirt road and not the trails. So we hiked the trails. Talked to some other campers and they were saying that people have changed and hogging the sites for them selves. Glad I found a spot for the weekend.
Come here often for a quick get away. Boondock camping with a variety of spots to choose from. We love to bring our horses up here and ride. Rock Fire pits at all the camp grounds. My only complaint is really inconsiderate off road vehicles riders that can't keep an idle speed past camps. We love to set up our hammocks and relax. There are several sheep herders that come up so it's always fun to watch the sheep go through camp in the morning. Our daughter loves to watch them.
We stayed for 1 week and we saw Elk and Moose almost every day. It was beautiful! The trails were amazing as well. If I could give more then 5 ☆s I would!
Besides the bugs the first time the 2nd and 3rd times no bugs a buddy and I loved it there great place to go shooting or just for day use
Boondock camping in this area is absolutely beautiful. My kid wanted to move here permanently to live "like a witch!" No hookups, no RV dump, no bathrooms, just hard work and enjoying nature. Gorgeous. Reminder to always practice Leave No Trace principles when out in nature; don't ruin it for the rest of us!
