Welcome to Dry Lake Campground, a small but convenient option within the Campgrounds & RV Parks category, located in Steamboat Springs, CO 80487. This campground offers a basic and budget-friendly camping experience with access to outdoor activities.

Environment: Dry Lake Campground is described as a tiny campground with only about six campsites. It offers a setting where the night sky is pretty, suggesting good conditions for stargazing. The campground is surrounded by family-friendly hiking trails in various directions that loop back to the camping area, making it ideal for those who enjoy walking and exploring. However, it is important to be bear aware in this location.

Services: The campground provides a clean pit toilet for facilities. The ranger is mentioned as being active in maintaining the area, including cleaning fire pits, indicating that the small campground is cared for. For what I needed, it was perfect. This is a tiny campground, 6 spots or so with a pit toilet. The ranger was cleaning fire pits when I came in and I think they take good care of this little place. Night sky was pretty and I got good rest here. $10 a night to camp without discounts, but discounts are available if you participate in programs.

A decent spot. Has a lot of family friendly hiking trails in any direction that loop back to the campground. Clean pit toilet, large enough campsites. Only draw back is on weekends it is a major staging area for bikes. Motor & pedal, causing lots of dust & noise. Be bear aware here.

Incredible place to camp. We were warned about bears but we did not see any thankfully. There were a lot of mosquitoes but that is just part of the experience. It was such a pleasure to spend 3 nights in this very peaceful place. I would suggest trying to get here on a weekday in order to get a campsite as there are only I think 7 available sites.

We camped here a night while visiting Steamboat springs. It's about a 10min drive to town and 15 to strawberry springs. In that regard it's in a fantastic location. When we picked out campsite we noticed that the campfire that the privious campers had lit was still hot and occasionally smoking. We let the camp host know and he brought some water and put it out. He may have done something about it without saying something but he didn't say anything about repercussions for the privious campers who left a fire burning in the height of drought season. The bottom line is that the bathrooms were clean, the campsites had some trash in that that we cleaned up, and the camp host was nice enough to put out the fire when asked to do so. I would stay here again because of how close it is to Steamboat.

Absolutely gorgeous, well spaced out campsite. We came face to face with a huge moose on the nearest trail last summer and it was one of my favorite memories! Our favorite campsite yet!
