This is a full time/part time campground, but they are separate. The staff was friendly, the campground was so very quiet and peaceful. We loved watching the stunning sunsets off of the dock. Our only negative were the 7 or 8 speed bumps for a .3 mile section of road, made the exit a 4 minute exit. Ha! But this is a good stop!

I never got confirmation by email. When I try calling and email text, etc. I go no response and if I wanted to cancel it would be too late. They finally called me the day before I had to be there. I thought I had got the minimum people, 2 adults and four child. But it was extra. 20$ more. Unfortunately no one came and they would no refund me. My water view was of tall over grass. And where looks the water runs off. Not very attractive. Put me on all rock for RV. Had a light over pavilion that stay in all night. Pool closed very early for summer. Camp store too and only way to pool was through the store. Nothing about any rental for river. Kayak etc. The place had a lot of empty spot. Close to town. Pool water clean but could use scrubbing on the liner. Playground on other side of gate. Some activities for kids and adults on Saturday. Thought price was too high for what they offer.

Tented for a weekend there recently. Staff were very nice, but didn't seem to have a concept of quiet hours and noise levels. The first night outdoor bingo lasted until well after 10 PM. The second night was outdoor disco. Music was very loud. Both outdoor events were conducted in the visitor tent and RV area. So while this is a beautiful area, it is not suited for a relaxing evening or peace and quiet. Finally, staff locked the only bathrooms our second night and still were not opened by 6:30 AM when I left. What are campers supposed to use? The bushes?

We did not stay at Duckneck, but we did tour looking for a campground to stay seasonally at. I really do not understand the great reviews based on what we saw. This truly is the epitome of “trailer trash” vibes. All the campers are jammed in as tight as they can be. Amongst the clutter is mostly many decades old trailers hidden by monstrosities of structures. The location is pretty great and awesome that they have their own boat launch and docks, but the rest just really gives trashy vibes. Honestly, I think the transient areas were nicer. The woman running the place was very nice and eluded to the new owners trying to change things up there, but they are a long ways away. This place really has potential to be great, they just really need to declutter and get rid of all the super old campers and structures.

We enjoyed our stay over the recent Memorial Day holiday. The transient RV spots are really tight, but the River view and waterfront sites are spacious. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The Fulltime residents are very nice and they LOVE driving their Golf Carts around. The only bad thing was ALL of the dust that the carts kick up. I would love to see some new gravel laid and perhaps water the stones down to keep the dust down in between dry periods.
