Very large and spacious spots! Some have no shade though, be prepared for that on those hot midsummer days. We honestly felt like we were more remote than some dispersed camping spots. Right next to hiking trails and walking distance from the lake (though a bit of a trek if you want to bring a SUP or kayak, I opted to drive to the picnic area). Basic pit toilets were clean enough, had TP and hand sanitizer. Never used the water pump but it exists. While we were there the wildflowers were out in full force and it was incredible. We were not super prepared for the amount of bugs though, be prepared for that. Had a great time, hope to come back for a longer weekend sometime, just a great area!

Who can complain at $12 a night? The campsites are spread out nicely, the views are magnificent, and it's right by the trailhead to rabbit ears. However, it is June with a lot of standing water so bring bug spray! The water pumps are not working yet as of June 30, so be prepared.

Nice place, excellent trail access, fishing, clean bathrooms and it wasn't very busy the first week of Oct.

Most campsites are reservable. Sites are not real level but spread out so you have a little privacy. Fresh water is good but you have to work for it with the hand pump. Great hiking, biking and fishing near by. Some of the most beautiful and variety of wildflowers in Colorado in July.

Beautiful camp sites. Very basic, no water or electric, but well maintained trails, park benches and toilets.
