Camped for a week mid-July, wasn't packed and I got a great spot very close to the river. The sound of the water was mesmerizing. There was a trail down to a little rocky beach right on the water and the river is very wade-able. Pretty rocks. Biting flies, bring bug spray. Picnic tables and fire rings. Tons of tree cover. 20 minutes from town but feels very remote. 14 dollars a night. Vault toilets.
Beautiful river with entry ways behind each camp site. The drive there was gorgeous. No phone signal. It's defiantly a good place to go if you're trying to get away from the world. $14/night. Only issue is that my friends and I were at site #1 and went down to check out the river on our first evening there and there was what appeared to be a homeless man bathing in the river right behind our campsite so if you've got little ones I'd keep them close. Maintenance guy did appear to make a visit once a day to restock toilet paper and collect payments.
Edit June 2021: My family loves this campground. It's not far out of town but feels like it is. There are some fun spots for fishing and kids playing in the river. It's not quite as nice as it was a few years ago though. There is no water or dumpsters available. One of the 2 latrines is our of order and the other one doesn't have a locking door. Latrines are awkward enough when no on is walking in on you... It costs $14 a night which I believe is too much for broken latrines an no potable water
Nice campground. Decent restrooms with toilet paper, too. Heavy tree cover for shade but a number of the sites require parking outside your site in a parking lot. $14 a night. Leashed dogs allowed.
Great campground right between the fork of the Dungeness and Gray Wolf Rivers. The sound of rapids will lull you to sleep. No water, except for lots of the flowing kind. Gorgeous virgin trees. Steep dirt road, no RVs or trailers. Picnic tables and fire rings with grill. 10 campsites. 1 vault toilet. I like sites 4 and 5. Only about 20 minutes from the town of Sequim. You can wake up and go get breakfast in town. Close to several trailheads.
